- 5 out of 5 stars review10/14/2025I will say for pre made popcorn in a bag they knocked it out of the park with this one! It's so soft and buttery and just melts in your mouth. I'd honestly rather have this than fresh popcorn. My kids love it and always ask for more. This will def be one of our staples for movie nights!

I’m normally not a huge popcorn person unless it’s from the movies but this popcorn is actually really good! It smells great. The bag is absolutely huge!! And it tastes really good it’s light, but has a good consistency to it. Very happy with this and my kids LOVE IT! they are having movie night tonight and using this popcorn!!

It boasts movie theater butter flavor, which it does provide that. The flavor is nice, salty and fairly buttery. I like that it's non-gmo corn, 100% whole grain, and it's certified gluten free. I don't love the texture, it's overall okay, and great for the people who want a ready to eat product, but I'd honestly rather pop a fresh bag of hot buttery popcorn.

My son loves to eat Pop Secret Theater Butter Popcorn as a snack at home, and now he can take this with him to school. We have tried to make popcorn in the morning and pack it in his lunch, but it never tasted fresh. This popcorn is light and airy, and tastes pretty close to freshly popped popcorn. This will definitely be a staple in our house.

Nothing beats fresh buttered popcorn. I also felt like the popcorn pieces were small and kernly. That could be due to the bag being smashed during the delivery process. It’s definitely not the hot, fluffy, buttery, popcorn I make from scratch. But it definitely works when I’m in a hurry and need a quick snack.

Opening the bag provided a wonderful aroma that did bring me back to a movie theater experience. The popcorn itself was on the softer side which was pleasant to chew. The amount of salt was not overwhelming but satisfied that salty need that often makes you want popcorn to begin with. The butter flavor was also not intense but tasty. The only thing that they didn't replicate was the warmth of fresh popcorn. I think this would make a great addition to a picnic basket or perhaps on a camping trip.

The reason I only gave it 3 stars is because for me the flavor is just too strong. The popcorn is decent, the flavor is there, and it’s got a good buttery flavor with the punch of salt. My biggest complaint is it’s just too over the top. Three out of four of our kids loved it though! They liked having it during our Friday night movie. It would be nice to be able to just buy a bag of this and do a movie night at home with it. Although I think I’d prefer to just buy the kind I can pop in the microwave and have it be nice and warm.

But this is actually pretty good? Real movie popcorn, all nice and warm and buttery, is still always going to win for me, I’m sorry that’s just the facts. But this is a pretty close second for the days I don’t want to deal with a theater to get my fix. Taste is buttery, great for a snack. I will say, I’ll keep advocating for this over and over, I feel like we could make our snacks with a kettle less garbage ingredients in them, the oils in this are staggering. But for a once in a great while snack, I’ll deal.
