It was good before the trigger stop working

Used it 2 times with the rep saw and once with jigsaw. It stopped while cutting 2” wood with the rep saw. Try to restart it but the trigger got stuck. Also tried to register the product and spent long time going down the SKU list. Alphabetical order would be a good.

Disappointing

As suspected this saw is way under powered. The blade slows down significantly once it comes in contact with the material being cut. If you continue to apply pressure while cutting, the blade can actually stop. And this is with a fully charged battery.

This is a very useful tool

Purchased this about a week ago to do some work at distant, no power access job sites I have. As a handyman and professional Apiarist I do anything from put up fences, repair houses to building bee hives and setting up apiaries. Much of it is remote work sites. I decided to test this tool out working on a home project. Doing everything from cutting through aluminum siding and gutters as a jigsaw to cutting through wood and nails to replace windows and doors and cutting through 4x4 posts as a reciprocating saw, it got a workout this week. I am pleased to report that it handled all jobs thrown at it with no problems. Blade changes are great. Battery power is MUCH better than anticipated. Worx is a brand that is showing itself to be reliable and solid working. LOVE that batteries can be shared. I would give it 5 stars but the manual isn't that great at explaining all the aspects of tool use.

Very Versatile

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this saw a couple of months ago. Very versatile and convenientt tool. However I have a problem with the blades becoming detached while in use. I like the quick release technology but I think an improvement on the release mechanism would greatly improved the performance of the tool. Love worx tools

One Heck of GREAT SAW

There are times I feel that as though Murphy's Law is in my back pocket, here I was in the middle of a project adding on to a room in the house and my darn jig saw quiet so off I go trying to look for a replacement to complete this job a.s.a.p. I came across this Reciprocating/Jig Saw tool by WORX. In looking it over I decided to give it a try. I have a couple of tools from WORX that I have used in the past and was most pleased with their performance I figured hopefully this saw will do the job. I am certainly glad I did, after charging battery and going through the manual I got it set up and ready to go. In using the tool I found that the operation is smooth with plenty of power, the compact battery doesn't run out of juice for quite a while. Everything about this tool feels quality. It's fairly small but has plenty of heft for precision work. It was able to handle my cuts through drywall and standard 2x4 with ease. The jig saw part made my electrical outlet cuts with ease and trouble free. As for switching from jigsaw to reciprocating saw it is plain simple, just press in the button, swing the moving part until it clicks, and switch the blade to face the other direction. The saw comes with four separate blades- 3 jigsaw blades and a larger reciprocating wood blade but can be used with other standard jig and reciprocating saw blades. I notice it also has a pendulum function (jig) for thicker pieces of timber, thus your blade won't "stick" as often The saw runs at 3000 reps/ minute with no load and is decently powerful for a battery pack device. Overall the operation is smooth with plenty of power, the compact battery runs for quite a while. The tool certainly feels quality made and is fairly small but has plenty of heft for precision work. I am well please with it and I was able to complete my project thanks to this too it has found its place among my tools and I know it will provide years of great performance and service. WORX hit it out of the park with this one in deed !!!!

Another Worx Product That Did Not Let Me Down!!

My home project list included tearing down 7 wire shelves in the Pantry and replacing with wooden shelves to add more room and increase the support efficiency. Since I already own 6 Worx products I immediately thought of selecting the 20V Axis Cordless saw to help me. It did not disappoint. The ability to have a cordless saw easily cut through 3/4" thick X 11 1/2" wide wood with ease was really appreciated. Features that I like included lightweight and easy to handle. It cut through the small wood 1 3/4" X 1/2" that I needed to create the shelve supports. End result was creating 7 wood shelves that increased storage capacity and better support that the wire shelves did not give me. The only challenge I had included blade change out. The release clip was difficult to pull back to remove and replace the blade. I was able to change out the 20V battery with others I already have from the other products. This made it a nice perk!! I also used the Worx Drill for my project too. Another Worx product that impressed me for my small home projects. The Pantry turned out great!!!

Sensational Multi-Purpose Saw!

WORX has done it again! This very versatile, powerful (20V-multi use power share battery) and lightweight cordless saw fits the "bill" for so many jobs, around the house, the yard or workplace. I just cut some very hard-to-get-to pods and berries from the center of some 10' high palm trees using an extension ladder and this wonderful, lightweight saw, without the need, cost and smell of gas, nor cost of electricity or cumbersome extension cords! The compact design of the saw allowed me to get into the obstructed center of the trees with ease and, within minutes, the pods and berries were gone, along with the bees that were attracted to them. I am presently working on cutting out a plywood floor for my 10' inflatable boat and the multi-purpose saw, with multiple blades, easily follows the curved cut lines. The added light feature on the front of the saw assures visibility of the lines so I ended up with a true cut. I can envision many uses for this innovative tool for myself, the do-it-your selfer, as well as for others, whether the layman or the pro. Thanks for adding this saw to my growing inventory of sensational WORX products that have virtually replaced all my gas and electric equipment. Keep up the quality, creative and cost effective products!!

Very Versatile tool

I have used a variety of saber saws for at least 50 years. While it is not a tool that I use everyday, it does get its share of use. Here are my comments on the new multipurpose by WORX. My first impression was that it was a strange looking contraption but that quickly disappears once I picked it up and took a closer look at it. The first thing I liked was the heft of it. Solidly built. With the battery in place it balanced well in the hand. Changing from saber saw to reciprocal and back, quick and easy. The sole plate is a solid one piece rigid enough to allow a person to :plunge cut"(meaning - you can put the toe of the shoe on the work and slowly lower the blade into the work - softer material please) without losing control. It has a second plate just behind the first that adds to stability while scrolling. While making long straight cuts is typically not the primary function of this type of saw, there is adequate clearance to use an external guide as there is no slot in the base shoe to attach one (see picture for examples). The saw scrolls easily in plywood and almost as easily in heavier stock. Working in heavier stock (as in 2X4 type wood) the solid base helps hold the blade perpendicular. The built in light helps keep you on track. On the reciprocating side, I do not currently have any major project going so I used it to rip up some old 2x4's. The saw zipped right through them quick and easy with minimal vibration. As I had some trees that could use a little trimming, I then brought the saw out into the yard (did I mention cordless?) to see what it might be able to do. What I needed cut was in the 2" - 3" range. It zipped right through those as well. So in summary, here is a combination tool that will work extremely well with scroll work, fairly well in straight line cutting and overall is well suited for the average DIY person or home handyman. Don't forget it's use as a yard tool as well if you don't have a jawsaw. I would recommend this tool to anyone who has around the home projects or for that matter, even a tradesman.
