After about five minutes passed, I checked it and there was already a gnat on the glue trap. Very effective for gnats!! The device does emit a soft blue light. The fan has two speeds and is very quiet. There is a timer on the device if you choose to not have it turn off, or you can just leave it running to do its magic!

It’s so compact and easy to use, I like that it has a timer so it turns on at night and stops in the morning!
