The mat is comfortable to stand on, but I ended up returning it because it was such a tripping hazard. There is a fairly significant step up, and I tripped pretty much every time I walked over it unless I was consciously being cautious. It wasn't worth risking an injury, so back to the store it went.

I ordered this mat in "Embossed Floral Leaf". When I opened the package I was STUNNED at just how pretty this mat is. The pictures on site do no justice. The quality of this kitchen mat FAR exceeded my expectations. It is so thick, yet feels so good on the feet. The durable construction of this mat is surprising for the price. If you are looking for an affordable, quality, beautiful kitchen mat....you WILL regret passing this one up!

If you use a robot vacuum, they may get chewed up along the raised edge. Another issue I have is that the roomba will get wedged in between the angled edge and the cabinet base, and in turn, further wears the coating on the mat. On its own, this mat is fabulous and is worth the price. I just wanted to share my experience with anyone who uses a robot vacuum.

I have the smaller version of this mat, and I love it, so I bought this big one too. This new one is much worse. The top side is too grippy, almost sticky. The foam is much harder -- too firm. And there are some rock hard lumps in it in a few places. Very disappointed.

This is a very thick May, perfect for a slab floor.
