Rémy 1738 is a ballroom in a glass

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So it is stronger than I anticipated but it is smooth. I did it over rocks (ice) the first time as it's my usual go to. It honestly does have a good taste after the initial sip and a little does go a long way. It's one of the few conac that I may try straight. I can even imagine a toasted orange twist would be a great addition.

First Sip Impressions

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently tried Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal Cognac for the first time, and it ended up being such a pleasant surprise. I started with it neat in a whiskey glass (I didn’t have a snifter glass on hand), and even without the ideal glassware, it was really enjoyable. The aroma is sweet and caramely right away, and the first sip brings out that toasty French oak with a hint of toffee. It’s smooth, slightly sweet, and has a little spice that gives it a warm, cozy feel—perfect for colder months. I added ice just to see how it changed, and it definitely opened up and leaned even sweeter. It was good both ways, but I preferred it neat where everything felt more balanced and rich. This would pair beautifully with a charcuterie board, especially with chocolates and aged, flavorful cheeses. I drink cognac only occasionally and usually reach for red wine or bourbon/whiskey, but 1738 won me over. I’m definitely adding this to my rotation, and I think I’ll try it in an Old Fashioned next.

I like it! You should try

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like drinking cocktails because their taste is light and delicious, and because of the beauty of the colors each type brings. I like drinking wine but many types of wine are too strong so I found a way to drink and reduce the alcohol. That is to mix cocktails, this is the first time I tried Rémy Martin 1738, it is powerful for me, but the taste is great, it has the bitterness of wood and toast. I only drink a small glass, but when I drink by mixing cocktails, I drink a lot.

Just okay

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This flavor was not my favorite. My husband liked it so I believe it’s mainly based on personal preference and taste. It was nice bottle/style. It is something good to gift as a bottle for Christmas dinners

A great pick for the dinner !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I could recognize this cognac by taste and smell even with my eyes closed. The first sip brings soft notes of sweet dried fruits and spices, and then those bold oak vibes kick in. The texture is smooth and almost velvety, making it really easy to drink. It ends with a rich, nutty finish that stays with you just long enough to enjoy it without being overpowering. It’s definitely on the stronger side- I feel the warmth right away- but it’s balanced so well that the strength feels more comforting than sharp. I paired it with a simple dinner and it still tasted amazing.

Well balanced French cognac

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tend to drink cognac in the fall and winter, so it’s been perfect chilly weather for it. I enjoyed this cognac on ice to fully taste the vanilla and fruit flavors. As you’d expect from a French cognac, it’s well-balanced and delicious!

Must try!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very nice flavor profile/smooth; hints of oak,and caramel . Aroma is of oak and very robust. Very versatile as Remy Martin 1738 can be drank by itself, used for a mixed drink or even used to cook with (i.e., beef stew or used to make a sauce) . Great product, beautiful packaging and well worth the money.

A luxurious, smooth, and perfectly balanced cognac

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal is incredibly smooth and rich, with a deep amber color and complex aroma of dried fruits, vanilla, and toasted oak. The flavor is full-bodied and well-balanced, offering hints of caramel and spice that linger beautifully. It’s perfect for sipping neat, but also elevates cocktails with its refined depth. The packaging feels elegant and premium — exactly what you’d expect from a high-end cognac.

Classy drink with an amazing rich flavor!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for a discount from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. I tried the 375 ml bottle of Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal and really enjoyed it. The color is gorgeous—rich amber with warm golden tones—and the aroma hits you right away with dried fruits, caramel, and a little vanilla. It’s super smooth and easy to sip, with flavors of figs, toffee, spice, and a soft oak finish. I had it neat first, then over a single ice cube, and it worked beautifully both ways. It’s definitely richer and fuller than lighter Cognacs, so it feels a little more “special occasion,” but still approachable. I think it works best either neat or in a simple cocktail where the flavor can shine. Pros: Smooth and rich without being overpowering Beautiful warm color Great aroma (figs, caramel, vanilla) Easy to sip neat Cons: Not as bright/light as some Cognacs A bit heavy for very sweet mixed drinks Slightly pricey for the size Would I buy it again? Yes!! especially for sipping or for a classy but simple cocktail.
