In the mouth, a little contrast feels to the nose since it's medium to full body with notes of prune, plum, oak, vanilla, dark chocolate, pepper, and spice. A little more spice at first but is better with time (but still has more spice than my preference).

Rarely do I ever mix cognac but 1738 is great with strawberry daiquiri mix (give it a try). It’s something I’ll purchase again without hesitation. Price is comparable to similar cognac products. Most liquor stores carry it.
