Sturdy enough to push and pull decent amounts of snow off of your vehicle, but any melted snow that turns into ice on the surface has a tendency to eat away at the edge of the foam. I still believe that it will avoid putting scratches and swirls in my paint better than your average snow brush - and that's especially important on my black paint job - but I don't know how long it will last if it starts breaking down along the edge when it gets scraped by the ice. Maybe it works better if you stay a bit further above the surface and just clear the majority of the ice off. Scraper seems a little flimsy, and it's awkward to use because the other end has that big foam piece, but you can get around that by taking it off... which brings me to my next point - it's kind of a pain to take this apart and put it back together all the time. Much easier to store if the foam is off of it with the handle snapped to the back of it, but annoying to have to do that every time that you use it. Lastly, the twist to loosen and extend or retract feature on the shaft isn't very high quality. Tough to get a hold of that smooth piece to twist it, and it doesn't feel very sturdy. The snow brush that I used to use had a rotating brush head, and a big, ribbed plastic fitting that was easy to turn to loosen it to retract or extend the shaft. Wish that they had worked out something like this instead. I'm not totally confident that this SnowJoe will make it through the winter... we'll see.

One day a co-worker's daughter came to pick her up after a snowstorm. She took the time to brush off every car in the parking lot while waiting for her mum. After that everyone wanted one so I ordered 5 and now all my co-workers and I have one!! Having been behind too many vehicles that have not properly removed the snow from their vehicles I know I am not creating a hazard for others. The long pole reaches the tops of most vehicles and then breaks down for easy storage - or like a couple of smarties did - bring the scraper into the office so we can brush off the car BEFORE getting into it at the end of the day!

The pole would not extend and 800# recommended we send it back, since it was under warranty. We took it back the same day and said no thank you, bad product. Went to Home Depot and bought something similar for $3.88 and are just as happy. Taking it to the snow today! This company needs to stop securing this pole so hard in the handle so it will not release.

I have a similar snow broom that my youngest son used when he was working at a local car dealership. Great for removing deep snow from a car. I have an SUV as well, and with this snow broom, I can easily remove all the snow from the vehicle very fast and with little effort. Just bought two new ones for my Dad and my oldest son. I think it will be their most prized gift from Christmas 2014, when the heavier snows hit the area this winter and in the winters to come!

I own a Chevy Tahoe and thought this would be ideal to clean the snow. The snow broom works well to push the snow off but the ice scraper does not work as well. you cannot get enough leverage to scrape the ice. The broom seems to be to heavy to balance enough to get to the ice

The ice scrapper is a great added feature. I am a middle aged woman near retirement and found it easy to use and store for the next heavy snow fall. Well worth having.

By far the best snow cleaning product out there! There are many things that I like about the Snow-Joe! It fits in the car and is almost flat! I had this long snow brush that was curved and took up a lot of room. Also after I would use it, the brush would freeze and then end up melting causeing water to melt into my trunk or carpet. With the snow joe, that’s not a problem!! Cleaning the cars literally takes less then 3 minutes. WORTH EVERY PENNY! Also homes with a warranty which is awesome!! Definitely recommend this product to everyone that is in a snowy location!!!

I love it. It is lightweight and easily manipulative. It does not scratch my car. formerly used a push broom to clean snow off my car, it left tiny scratches and ws too heavy. The Snow Joe works like a charm and does not take up too much room in my trunk

I'm so glad I ordered this Slow Joe 2 in 1 snow broom ice scraper. Using this item has made clearing off the car a breeze! It's such a quick and easy thing to do. I'm not sure why they call it a snow broom. It has a large foam rectangle that you can either push or pull across your windows, windshield, top of car, your hood anything. It so easily removes snow. whether it is a couple inches or a huge amount. It has a long telescoping handle. I can clear the whole car standing on just one side. It has taken away a lot of the hassle of dealing with snow. I couldn't be happier.
