Great Bang for Buck

Prep for hurricane season, no such thing as being too prepared. Easy to install wheel kit. Unit is sturdy and well built. Filled with supplied oil, hooked to propane tank and running in minutes. Would recommend this product.

Excellent product, great price.

I purchased the WGen9500DF to power my 50-amp travel trailer. I was very pleased with the minimal assembly and easy start-up, fresh out of the box. I enjoy the dual fuel option, and the remote start is an added bonus. I am really looking forward to putting this product to use this summer.

TBD

Just received my WGEN14500TFc, I wanted the 20,000W but that was out of stock everywhere so very disappointed. Now Westinghouse is coarsing me to leave a review so I can receive my FREE 15' power strip “gift” so I am leaving them 3 stars. Deducting one star for not having my 20,000W model available to purchase and another star for coarsing me to leave a review to get the free 15' power strip cord. Will update review once I get my 14500 up and running AND when my free gift comes.

Bought for emergencies

I bought this to run our camper and essential lights/outlets/appliances in our house in case power goes out. Haven't had that opportunity yet but love the different power outlets, power, and other features. I'm actually ‘breaking it in' as we speak. It is somewhat loud but guess that's necessary for that amount of power. Btw love that in can run on LP Gas as well in case we can't get gasoline. Confident it will meet our needs in an emergency.

SUPER EASY SETUP

I pulled this new dual fuel generator out of the box, installed the wheels and two feet, added some oil and gas and then was ready for the moment of truth. I flipped the switch and pushed the start button..... and .... it started right up with no problems! I haven't hooked up the 50A outlet to my home's 50A lockout connector, but will do so before the hurricane season starts here in Southwest Florida.

WGen9500DF Review

A necessity in Florida. This is an upgrade from my last Westinghouse generator purchased several years ago. Although my old one still works, I wanted an upgrade. I have not had to use it yet, but I have tested it and I have confidence it will do what I need it to do when I need it.

I bought this generator as a home back up generator and have it connected through my electric panel with a 50 amp breaker I have a 3200 ft.² home with an additional garage apartment that is 600 ft.². This generator is able to run my whole house, including three air conditioners. I have a 4 ton, a 2 ton and a 1 ton. The 4 ton and 2 1/2 ton are for the house and I put soft starts on them. The 1 ton is for the garage apartment with no soft start. I have used this generator during power outages, and it will start and run all three AC units as long as they do not start at the same time. I've had no issues with the generator stopping during AC starts. I just hear it changing to a low tone as more load is put on it, but it has never stopped. I would recommend this generator for anyone looking for a home power back up.

Excellent Quality and Value for the money

I just bought this to replace my Firman generator. I much prefer the control layout, especially the natural gas inlet. My gas hose is 3/4" so I have to upsize the inlet quick connect. The gas inlet port on the Westinhouse is right out in the open and very easy to swap out. The gas port on the Firman was PITN to change out. The 9500 Westinghouse is about the same size and weight as my old Firman 7500.

Happy WGen9500DFc Owner

I bought this generator last week after we had 85 mph straight line winds, and boy I'm glad that I did. It provided enough power to run the necessary major appliances, lights, etc. to get me through the 3-day power outage. Assembly and set-up was a breeze, and the flexibility that it provides by allowing you to use either gasoline or propane is an added bonus. Lots of cool features (e.g., remote start, CO sensor, etc.) for the price. Runs like a dream. A definite bargain. Would highly recommend.

Works Great

This is actually our 2nd Westinghouse generator, we have one at both houses. The one I have in Texas actually goes out to the deer lease with us as well. I am extremely happy with these generators. Leaving in the South with hurricanes they're great. We have an electrician hook everything up and they run the houses amazingly.
