Well built, flexible fuel features

Bought because of ability to use Nat Gas. Less hassle and maintenance than having old fuel sitting in the tank or garage. Had hose and enough quick connect fitting to get started and have a great setup. Enough power to keep Furnance running, Fridge, etc.

Excellent portable generator to power house!

I bought this generator to power my house during the extended outages which plague the gulf coast during hurricane season. When supplying generator power through a 50amp inlet to a panel, the max input is 12k watts. Since I'm running on natural gas and the running wattage of this unit on natural gas is 11.6k, this is the perfectly sized unit for my needs. Assembly is easy, minus the "included" natural gas hose. Apparently, Westinghouse no longer ships the natural gas hose, although all of their literature says it's included.

Great unit

I bought generator to replace a older different manufacturer. It was a quick setup and easy start up . Use it to power up needed house appliances during outages and can also power my welder to use it portable. Looking forward to many years of service

Dual Fuel Generator

After the 2024 back-to-back hurricanes in our area, we wanted to make sure our family could stay in our home if we experienced another one. The generator we purchased, along with an interlock kit installed on the electrical panel and a 50-amp inlet, should keep the majority of the house running in the event of an extended outage.

Great Generator

This generator is very easy to use and set up. This is first generator I have owned. I love the remote start. I have borrowed a friends generator before and am familiar with the pull cord start, in the rain. Having a remote is so convenient. There are three options to start the generator. The remote, the push button and the pull cord. I like the fact that I have three fuel options. I also can eventually tie this generator to my house electrical system(get a licensed electrician for this). Another great feature are the wheels which allow you to move it around with ease. So far I am really loving this piece of equipment.

A Great Purchase

We are so excited about our new WGEN9500DF generator purchase! It runs off gas and propane. It's the perfect size to restore power to our needed appliances and/or electronics during a power outage. It doesn't take up much storage space in our garage when not in use.

Worked great at unboxing 6 months later no good!

I bought a WGen11500Tfc and a WGen10500Tfc i December for back up generators for my house and my Mother in laws house on my property. I un boxed them, set them in place and tested them, I wad happy with the purchase. I followed the instructions for long term storage in the manual. We recently had a power outage and my generator the 11500 would not start but the 10500 started right up. I have put in a warranty request and I was told to remove the carburetor disassemble it and clean it.I am not a me mechanical person but I did my best. This did not fix the issue. Now I am being told that I need to have the carburetor replaced at my expense even after following the Westinghouse instructions. Ultimately do not count on the Westinghouse "Warranty " they do not seem to back up their product. WISH ME LUCK DURING HURRICANE SEASON!!!

Perfect Generator

After the power went out, I finally made the plunge and got a generator. This beast does the job, running 2 refrigerators, a freezer and of course a coffeepot. As an unexpected bonus, this is quieter than the generator I borrowed during this past outage.

WORKED GREAT FOR 5 HOURS

Initially generator worked as expected. After the 5 hour break in, starter does not engage but the engine starts using the pull start feature. Now I will need to file a warranty claim (-1 star) and transport this heavy generator to and from an authorized dealer (-1 star). I expected better reliability from Westinghouse. This would be a great generator if it did not fail after 5 hours of operation.

Perfect Model for Whole House Power Backup

After extensive research to find a generator capable of powering my 2,500-square-foot home—including the central air conditioning—the Westinghouse WGen9500DF Dual Fuel emerged as the top choice. Living in Southern California, where power outages occur from time to time, having a reliable backup power source is essential. The dual fuel capability was a key factor in my decision, as it allows the use of either gasoline or propane. I particularly value the option to use propane, which is not only safer but also easier to store for extended periods.
