I don't imagine that this product provides the same results as getting microplaning done at a dermatologist or spa but it's way better than trying it manually. I saw a Youtube video where the instructor recommended using Twinkle razors and showed how she shaved her own face so I gave that a try. Big mistake, not a good idea!. I didn't but myself but it was clearly not a good option. I have one of those battery operated shavers that looks like a lipstick tube that is effective for knocking down chin fuzz but I wanted something that trimmed closer and this does the trick. I give it a four rather than five because I don't know how it compares to the other (more expensive) personal microplaning devices. And, it clearly doesn't produce the kind of exfoliation of dead cells that you see on professional microplaning videos, but I'm glad I bought it.

I purchased this tool. When it arrived there was a blade already installed. I read the directions and was prepared to use it. After completing a few strokes I noticed that the blade seemed very wiggly/loose. I turned off the tool and attempted to "tighten" it by pushing it downward. My pointer finger slipped off and I was severely cut ending up with six stitches, a numb and swollen finger and unable to bend it fully. Why would a manufacturer produce a product with a blade that is not correctly installed? Ridiculous. I would advise that you seriously consider NOT purchasing this piece of dangerous junk. It's not safe.

I have never used a product like this but after purchasing it, I realized the benefits. My skin is smoother, cleaner, and makeup goes on much easier. I have facials about twice a year and this helps keep my skin cleaner and removes the hair with such easy. The SIMA is easy to use and I couldn't be happier with how much my skin looks.

Using the SIMA was super easy to use. It's important to use it as directed for the best results! It managed to remove some of my peach fuzz and mainly dead skin. After using the SIMA my skin felt a lot softer and refreshed. It's a great and simple way to dermaplane!
