Much quieter than the OEM tire

My 2014 Ford Escape inherently transmits a lot of road noise to the interior. Here in Florida, with its coarse roads, the road rumble and irregular surface made it difficult to hear the radio. I ditched the OEM equipped Continentals before their time. The Michelins are still a little noisy on coarse surfaces but are quiet on smooth surfaces. The handling improved because the Continentals tended to wander, like on black ice. I was in a few heavy rains and the handling was very stable.

Very good traction by poor tread wear

Purchased a full set of these tires for my Mazda 3 for summer 2016. Traction on both wet and dry is great and never felt any concern regarding safety when driving on these tires. However it's only been 2 summer seasons and 42,000 kilometers and I'm already down to 3/32nd's. I'll have to be shopping for new tires next year. I was expecting these the tread wear to be better than this.

New Tread on an Old ML430

Just had the new Premier LTX (275/55R/17) put on my 99 Benz. These replace a set of Pirelli's that were mounted in May 2015. After driving for over 1,500 miles on the Pirelli tires, I knew they were not for me and back to the dealer to replace. They have a full 30 day guarantee and they honored it with ordering and installing the Michelin's at no additional cost. As soon as I was at the speed limit of 70 mph, I knew right then and there I had made the right choice. Gone was the whining sound from the other tires and the handling improved as well. Everything about the LTX is different from the composition to the tread design, well done!

What A Dissapointment

Michelin should be ashamed of this tire. Countless Equinoxes, Terrains and other GM vehicles that TPC spec'd this new tire, BIG MISTAKE. They last NO MORE than 20,000 miles. My friend bought a 2018 Equinox. Rotated tires every 6,000 miles. They made it 16,245 and they were at 4/32 tread and less. PATHETIC TIRE. Do NOT bother purchasing.

We understand the Premier LTX tires on your vehicle did not meet your expectation in terms of mileage. A member of our Consumer Care team will be in contact with you. You may also reach our office at 1-866-866-6605.

Poor tread life!

These were the OEM tires that came with my 2018 Audi Q5. I'm not an aggressive driver, but like others have experienced, the tread is almost gone after 66000 km. I'll have to get a new set of tires in the spring. Needless to say, I will not be looking at Michelins.

Failed Expectations

Since the early 1990's, I've always changed my OEM tires to a Michelin tire and always have been very pleased with the quality and performance...always exceeded expected tire life and tread wear always even. I was happy to see that the Premier LTX was OEM to my 2019 Lexus. I am, however, very disappointed that the LTXs underperformed. Small chunks of tire tread were "excavated" mostly on the shoulder treads, front worse than rear...a pattern I've never seen or heard of before. Typical urban driving in panhandle of Florida (with little driving during the COVID years...<28k miles).

Great ride but POOR tread life!

These tires came factory installed on my 2020 Buic Envision. I just purchased the car as it was a lease. After the full inspection of the car at the dealer, the ONLY thing that they found was the the car need new tires. At only 32K miles this is almost HALF of the TREAD WARRANTY (60,000 miles).

Good Tire but did not last

We purchased the Premier LTX for our Honda Pilot about two and a half years ago. We really liked the tire in regards to traction and ride but the tire is wearing prematurely. We have 49,000 km's on the tires and the tread is down to 4 and 5 thirty seconds. We will need replacement soon and didn't come close to reaching the 100,000 km as advertised by Michelin. I will be purchasing new tires soon and they will not be Michelins.

Less Than 1/3 of Mileage Warranty

I've been a loyal Michelin tire customer, for many years for both my wife's SUV and my cars too. Nevertheless, I'm disappointed with Premier LTX's 100,000km/6 years mileage warranty. Even though, these 235/55R19 tires for my 2011 Lexus RX 350 were properly inflated, well maintained and promptly rotated at regular intervals of 10,000kms; I have to replace them after 28,700km which is only less than 29% of the mileage warranty. Although they offer quiet ride and good traction even on snowy road, I expected excellence from Michelin. I'm a responsible mild mannered middle aged driver who does not spin the wheels with jerky start or sudden acceleration, nor do I take sharp corners at high speed. Therefore, there's no sign of uneven wear on these tires and the tire pressure is regulated by Lexus' sensitive electronic tire pressure sensors, as well.

Short miles poor wear characteristics

Tires are quiet and handle well smooth as glass on the highway. Ice and snow performance are good. When new the performance was good. Now at 29K miles and they are worn to 4/32 and my tire shop says they are not safe to rebalance due to wear. These only start with 8.5/32 tread very shallow IMHO. Not a 60K mile tire in my experience. I've run michelins all my life, dozens of sets on trucks and cars and bicycles and this is my first bad experience with a tire. I've had three sets of LTX MS and ATs on my truck and they have all been great. Defender LTX on my Honda now and love them. The premier is expensive and short lived. 255/55R18 on Mercedes ML500.
