Flavor is different

I know my butter and the flavor has definitely changed. I came to reviews to see if anyone else felt the same and many people did. Our families have used this butter for generations and it is not the same.. (maybe the farmers have changed feed etc which affects flavor?) .. all these reviews can't be coincidental. Not from long time lovers of LOL butter. It's very bland now - not rich in flavor where it's noticeable to other brands as before. I find myself going for another brand (Pl..) when I want a nice rich flavorful butter to stand out. What is really going on LOL??

Less than 8 Tablespoons.

Have used this butter for years. My latest purchase was a few days ago. Went to get a stick for baking and the stick was shorted about 2 tsp - 1 Tablespoon, which made measuring an issue. Upon checking the box, ALL 4 sticks were shorted. Is this a sly ploy to save the company money? Hopefully the company will address this.

Change of ingredient or recipe

I have noticed that several months ago you all have changed either the ingredients or recipe for the Salted Sweet Cream butter for consumer use, why??? It use to taste as good as the commercial use. Many people I know have noticed the same thing. It even melts differently. We all have noticed this since you all have changed pack wrappings. Now you all taste like everybody else. And when my grandmother noticed the difference I know it true. I grow up on Land-O-Lakes Salty Sweet Cream. Please change it back. Yall about to start making me make my own butter.

Salted Butter sticks

I've used your product for decades however you have changed something in the ingredients. When I use on stove top it pops and browns almost instantly. Not cooking on high. I've never had the problem ever. Also doesn't taste the same. It is too expensive for less quality. I'd like to know what changes have been made. It has most definitely been changed.

We appreciate your review. We have not made any changes. Water droplets are naturally dispersed throughout the stick, and as butter is melted, droplets combine and the butter bubbles or foams. To melt butter, we recommend using medium or low heat and swirling the butter in the pan or stirring the butter to reduce the chance of spattering. Please look for an email from us.

President

I love love Land O Lakes butter. It is the only butter for baking because the difference in the taste between this butter and others is startling. I learned from my mother who was an outstanding baker and cook at an early age, that using the best ingredients is required to have a great result. I can look for Land O Lakes butter for a great result.

What changed

I have always used Land O Lakes butter. For the last 60 years. The Last 5 Years I have noticed that it's the butter Land O'Lakes that is ruining my baking. I know this because I finally went and bought another butter and the problem was no longer happening so I think you definitely did something to your butter. Therefore I will no longer be buying Land O'Lakes.

LOL DEFINITELY CHANGED. BUY A DIFFERENT BRAND

Thought maybe we had a weird batch of butter for Thanksgiving - totally behaving strangely when baking Been baking with LOL my whole life - I'm 56). It separates and doesn't emulsify properly. Then we bought some to freeze, I mixed Christmas cookies with it after softening, and it didn't cream up normally when mixing with sugar. I am on my second batch of homemade (not boxed) brownies because the first batch texture looked weird, they didn't spread normally in the pan, and they wouldn't come out of the pan neatly. I'm on the 2nd mixing round and realized the same thing is happening. All of the ingredients in the recipe are the same that I've always used. It's the butter. I'm buying new organic butter and won't be back to LOL until they admit something changed and they have fixed it. We are now calling it Land of Fakes Butter.
