I never noticed it before but the content of butter makes a huge difference. You can get a cheaper butter, always, but how much water is contained in that cheaper butter. Makes a huge difference in baked goods, believe me.

I have bought store brands but in taste none of them compare with Land O'Lakes butter. I always can tell and prefer the taste of Land O'Lakes to any other brand of butter.
