I bought these tires for Mazda3 2015. From a day I put them on, I have done 6k.plus miles and I cannot say anything else than they give a great traction and handling on dry & wet surface. No aquaplaning at all! As of now I can recommend them for every day use. I'm looking forward to see how they will handle a winter in North NJ

After a great deal of online research including a good recommendation from Consumer Reports, I chose the AltiMAX RT43.  I determined it the best overall tire to be driven by me in the south.  The tire grips the road in the rain, and I have no fear of hydroplaning. The interstate driving has been decidedly pleasant, and no differentiation can be noted at different speeds. When a little get up and go is needed, the tires perform well with the V-Tech engine. Time will tell about the wear.

I replaced OEM Kumho tires on my wife's 2012  Hyundai Tucson about a year ago with Generals.  In my opinion they are comparable to the premium tire brands without paying the premium tire price.  Comfortable ride, good traction, and seem to be wearing very well.  This is the second time that I have put General tires on a vehicle that previously had premium brands, the other on a Chrysler Town & Country with the same results.  Highly recommended!

I did a lot of research before choosing these tires.  I  managed Bridgestone owned service locations for a number of years, and have always been partial to their product.  But when I read all the reviews for the RT43 at a much better price point, I decided to give them a shot.  I'm very glad I did.  Great hoops at a great price.

In Nov. & Dec., 2017, I bought 3 sets of 4 Altimax RT43s, for my AWD Equinox, my spouse's FWD minivan, and for daughter's FWD Kia Spectra.  We have 15,000 miles on all these tires.  It's been a snowy winter in NE PA, and these tires have been very good in snow & rain.  They were near the top of the list in CR's 2018 Buying Guide, which is one of two reasons I chose them.  The other reason is the price was very good compared to other name brands.  They appear to have little wear them after 5 months.  I am very pleased with the Altimax RT43s.

I bought these for my 2014 Subaru Cross Trek after doing a lot of due diligence. (The car is not quiet as a result of road noise, poor insulation, wind noise and tire noise.) I wanted quieter tires than the stock tires, maximized life, and the best grip I could get. The tires are quieter than the stock tires and I have appreciably less noise in the cabin. I just went through the winter with them and we had enough snow for me to get a good feel for their sure-footedness. I will look for these tires again (or for whatever supersedes them) when I need replacements.

I had Altimaxes on my last car, a 98 Corolla, that were wonderful and lasted forever. That's why I have them on my beautiful 1999 Camry. They are even longer lasting than they were on my Corolla.  The only negative I have, which is my reason for removing one star, has to do with the Tire Wear Monitor built into the tread. The problem is I don't want or need anything that tells me or possibly an overzealous inspector when my tires need changing out. I make that call... period!   Worn tires need to be replaced at the correct time, when things like funds are available, not at Xmas time, the tires with fresh date codes must be in stock, it's prior to Winter, when I have the time, etc. It's not like these well made tires will explode or lose all traction the day after a wear indicator shows through the tread. But if at inspection, an insector fails my car because the unnecessary tire indicator says ""REPLACE TIRE"", I'll be upset. Again. It's my call and my responsibility, so General... listen up.... instead of a useless tire wear monitor, just give the rubber back to the tire you removed to create the stupid monitor which will give it a bit more life.

Bought these to replace factory tires on a 2015 Mazda3.  Amazing upgrade in terms of handling, performance, and especially wet or snow or ice conditions (which the car saw plenty of this winter).  OEM tires were sketchy in the rain.  These were flawless in much worse.

I have purchased General AltiMax Tires for my cars and General Grabbers for my truck many times in the past and they have never let me down. A good dependable tire for the price. Wet road and snow traction is very good. Handling on dry road conditions is quiet and responsive.

Very little road noise. Previous tires were Goodyear and was disappointed by how noisy the Goodyear's were at highway speed. Nice handling on wet roads. Will consider these tires when replacing tires on the other car. Rated a 3 on fuel economy since I haven't noticed a difference.
