Great handling tires.

I purchased these tires this past fall. Living in northern Minnesota I was able to travel in snowy and icy conditions. The tires were more than I expected in the snow. Traction and handling was great in the adverse conditions. My wife and I traveled to Florida late December and ran into icy roads in northern Arkansas. I was so impressed how the tires handled on the icy roads. I would not think twice about purchasing this tire again, truly a great product. General tires will be going on my truck as soon as the need arises.

Excellent value and solid performance

Installed on 2002 Civic LX Sedan.  Tires do everything very well: ride quality, road noise, mileage, wet handling, really nice tires.  When I first installed them, feed back felt a little vague, especially when cornering at high speeds, maybe a little under steer.  With several thousand miles on them, they've become more predictable. Nice.

Great Tire at a Great Price

I bought these tires seven months ago.  They are much quieter then the factory tires  that came on my car. They hold the road really well, don't hydroplane like the factory tires did. I am pleased with my purchase and these still look like the day I put them on. I expect they will give me many miles.

Great traction

Had these tires a few months now and I couldn't ask for better traction in the snow.  It has made it harder to have fun in the snow. :)  No longer am I afraid of getting stuck.  Awesome tire with a good price.  Tread pattern cleans out well when in mud or snow.

Outstanding

This tire is one of the best kept secret! Rivals with couple of much more expensive brands I had. Unfortunately, as the reviews are getting more 5 stars, the price is going up. I put 10,000 K on them and they are sooo quiet, traction in rain is excellent, in snow is normal. They lean a little bit more in corners, noticeable only in sharp 90 degrees curves over 40 mph. Highly recommended.

Good quiet tires!

These were rated highly by a highly respectable consumer group.  These tires are quiet and ride solidly with no slippage on wet pavement. Haven't had them long and haven't put many miles yet, so we'll see if they hold up as I am a low mileage driver.

Good quality

Don't have a lot of miles on these tires yet but they seem to be wearing well. Good grip in heavy rain. Ride is good.  Very little road noise. Have not noticed any side wall roll on hard turning. Cannot vouch for them in the snow cause we won't be using them. Over all satisfied.

Great tire at a good price

I have run Generals on my 4Runner, RAV4 and my daughters Legacy.  Very happy with all of the tires.  They get a great rating from Consumer Reports.  I run snows as well as all season (BTW snows stop you over 300 feet shorter in snow and ice at 55 MPH as AWD or 4WD don't help you stop!!!). I will continue to buy

Quite ride?

My wife drives a Jeep Patriot that were never known for a quite. There was always constant competition between the CVT transmission, the engine and the road noise fro the tires. The new tires minimized the road noise so now I can concentrate on the sound of the CVT which sound like a riding mower for 90,000 miles.. Great tire value

Nice tires until they deflated

I like the performance of these tires and they generally feel and handle well. They were well reviewed for all weather, and they performed well in the rain in the Rockies in the summer. I used them for part of the winter,  but my snow tires--old as they are--are still a better winter tire. The biggest reason I did not use them in the winter, though, was that they acted very unreliably on a long trip. Two tires deflated during a 500 mile trip. The rear driver's side deflated about 300 miles into the trip. There was nothing actually wrong with the tire--no punctures, not cracks--and once filled with air again, the tire performed for the rest of the trip. On the way home, again about 300 miles into the trip (or about 500 miles farther than the first deflation) another tire deflated (this time, the front passenger's side tire). Neither time did the deflation feel noticeable to the driver--different drivers both drove on the deflated tire for longer than ideal without realizing it until stopping. Again, once re-inflated the tire performed alright, though the rubber has been worn a bit by riding low. Since the incident, I took the tires back to the tire shop (Sears auto) where they were installed to be checked over. They said nothing was wrong with the tires beyond the new sidewall wear: no punctures, no problems with the tread, not apparent problems with the valve. Sears told me the warranty was only good on the tread,  and they wouldn't replace them, despite the tire failure happening within 6 months of buying the tires. I'm running on these tires now, because the snows needed to come off, and they make me nervous, to be honest. I have not had any rapid deflations, but I have not driven more than about 100 miles at a time on these. One of the tires that deflated does seem to lose air a little more quickly than it should. I'd just like to know what the problem is, since the auto center refused to speculate and I have no idea if these tires are really safe.
