Weirdly fishy smelling for crabmeat. Shell and cartilage bits throughout. Few big pieces, mostly soggy shreds.

Purchased to make crab cakes (first time ever) and they came out perfect. The crab meat did not need to be drained coming out of its container and was not too dry or contain shells whatsoever! Highly recommend!

This is terrible crabmeat. Not lump throughout the can. Stunk up the whole house! I had to prop the door open in 0 degree weather and light tons of candles. I told my husband not to even bother to fry the crab cakes, but he did! Ugh. Do not buy!

I used for stuffed bella mushrooms. They were awesome. This crab smelled sweet upon opening. I will definitely use for gumbo and other dishes that call for crab.

Got this cause we were in the mood for it but it was extremely fishy. Everyone bite had crunch in it. It had the cartilage that connects the meat to the shell in it. We literally just threw it away.

I have purchased this product before and was pleased. This time, it was spoiled, smelled like potent vinegar. I am guessing it was not refrigerated properly during delivery to the store in Lake Charles.

I purchased this with a lot of skepticism because of its price. It is pretty expensive but so is most seafood nowadays. I am used to picking the crab meat myself. However, now that I cannot get it fresh, I have to rely on products like this. The meat is not seasoned. Next time when I purchase it, I will season it before I freeze it. I used this to make some Devil Crabs. It was delicious using my grandmother's secret recipe! I will purchase it again for a special occasion (the price IS kind of steep). I would not recommend freezing this and then adding it to a salad. It just did not taste right to me. Summary: Use for Baking/Cooking--YES! Use for Salads/not cooked--NO!

I have bought crabmeat from Sams for a special recipe several times. I assumed that my last purchase was Sam's " Gulf Caught" product. I missed the small print on the lid of my last purchase of crabmeat. The brand name was "Aqua Star" Premium Lump Crabmeat. 31149 11426 It is a product of Indonesia. BEWARE that Sam's lump crabmeat brand changes. I question the validity and safety of crabmeat packaged and caught in Indonesia. I threw it out. I will put on my magnifying glasses and read the country of origin before I purchase lump crabmeat again at Sams Club. It was my negligence and poor eyesight.

Purchased for $15.98 at the Kenner louisiana store. Product contained crunchy things and I don't mean like one or two pieces...I'm talking about every bite! Made a pasta with it and had to throw it all out. Now I am out $15.98 thanks to this "premium" product. Would never have thought Sam's would carry such a awful product.

Atrocious amount of shell, inedible.
