Sunbrella

Bought this a year and a half ago and it no longer goes up or down and it's stuck in the up position. Cheap pulley system and Sam's won't honor the 5 year warranty because I don't have the same membership number as I did when I purchased it. The fabric, however, is still in great condition. Very disappointed with Sam's Club's lack of help.

Defective Umbrella

First umbrella came in with a defective pole. Sams replaced. Second umbrella worked for a week or two, then we found it would not fully crank down without reaching up and pulling the mechanism down. It is too high for me to pull down. Just poor, poor quality. Looks nice but not useable.

Verified Purchase

The price was good quality good for the price.

Alright not what I was expecting I guess I have purchased much more expensive umbrellas and was expecting this to be same quality for 1/3 the cost. Shame on me for being cheap to begin with. Not bad for the price however for three times as much the quality and features...(yes features) on an umbrella are 100% Better then this. However not bad for what you pay. Without trying to sound like a snob... don't know if that worked

No Base -- WOW

The a lot of umbrellas but bases available in store or on line. And unable to find a suitable base from anyone due to size of umbrella. So the poor rating is for selling a component verse sell a complete usable system. I'll end up returning due to not being able to buy a base.

Good canopy, horrible pole

This umbrella has a great canopy, but a horrible pole. Its pole is such a thin gauge it literally snapped in a slight gust. The canopy was fine, the base didn't budge, but the pole snapped in half at the table top. Not impressed in the slightest! Two uses and it's now useless.

Don't waste your money, it breaks in a breeze!

I bought this umbrella and stand about 2 weeks ago and it's been nothing but a problem. It falls over several times a day, even with a sand bag on top of the base! Tonight it broke in half in the slightest breeze. I am extremely disappointed considering I spent $150 on the umbrella and the stand, it's not worth $20.

Weak pole

I loved this umbrella - beautiful color, easy to use, until it tipped over in a small gust. It wasn?t windy, just a little gust. The other two umbrellas we had remained standing. We had it in a 60 lb stand. When it fell it bent the thin metal pole so that it can?t be raised or lowered anymore. Bummer

Not perfect but good for the price.

If you read some of the lower star reviews, I can agree that the pole is alittle on the weak side. If they went to 16 gauge poles they would probably never have any issues out of them. However.... I have as mine for 4+ yrs now. Live in florida....... as long as i closed the umbrella for expected winds of 30+ mph.. it's lived outside through IRMA as well as a few other lovely's. . It stays outside 24/7 and no issues with fading. and with any mindful preventative care will last you a long time. It finally snapped last night, had left it open during expected 50 mph gusts which is why i am here buying a new one. Mine is anchored tightly to my 300 lb patio table it's never going to fall over but those of you who have it free standing and using that light 55 lb base are just asking for trouble. Oh, it fell over 10 times and broke. Uh it was not designed to be beat up while falling over. Look at the base on the Cantilever style umbrella they sell. and for the money.. go look at 10 ft umbrellas else where. If you want better you are going to pay close to double.

umbrella good product

We have 2 of these umbrellas pool side in 2 of our tables. I'm now trying to find a 3rd umbrella, but they are out of stock in my color in the store & online. My husband made the bases with heavy weight steel. We keep them down when we aren't outside. They've never broken nor come out of their stands. I love the crank with auto tilt.

Weak poles...

We have bought a total of 6 of these umbrellas over the last 5 years and only 1 has survived. We use them around our pool and have built in holders for them. The first two bent over at the base and snapped off, leaving the metal in the umbrella holder which required us to have the holders replaced. The umbrellas were open at the time of the wind gusts so we blamed ourselves for those. Three more were closed and bent over during windy day. With our final one , we take it out of the holder every day if we aren't out by the pool ...which is a pain. We asked about replacement poles ,as we saved the tops , but they don't offer that ...said we would just have to buy new umbrellas. We like the size, fabric, and color of these but have decided to forgo any more of them . We live in Texas and while we do get some good wind gusts come through , we feel like the poles aren't strong enough for the tops .
