There is a noticeable difference in the flavor of the Philadelphia brand. It is also easier to get Philadelphia out of the foil packaging than some store brands.

I LOVE using this for my peanut butter pies - it makes them so creamy and rich. You can use cream cheese for so many different recipes. I love to keep it in the house for snacking, putting on crackers or peppers with some everything seasoning. All in all for the price / you are getting wonderful quality!

I don't care if the FDA approves of gums, they taste bad and literally muck up recipes. From cheesecake to frostings, every recipe turns out gooey instead of light and fluffy. So disappointing.

They are now adding carob bean gum in it and the taste is very odd. IN fact when you make cheese cake the sugar enhances the carob bean taste. It ruined my Christmas cheesecake, and made me sick to my stomach. I only put one star because I had to.

The consistency is always there smooth and blendable. The taste is super yummy. And it stores in the fridge well without becoming gross. I'll continue to keep this in stock in our fridge whether it's for home made cinnamon rolls or bagels before school.

Other brands have such a different taste and texture but Philadelphia brand is amazingly creamy, soft, it is so spreadable where others clump up. I really enjoyed this brand!!
