First off, I'm not being paid to write this review. That being said, this is a great tire. I bought 4 of these in Sept. of 2018. I did a lot of research before I did. I wanted a high performance or ultra high performance tire that was also an all season tire since I was going to be making a 300 mile trip about every 6 weeks to visit my granddaughter and periodic trips to the Dr who was also about 300 miles (round trip) away. I wanted a tire that would provide great traction and a comfortable ride with minimum road noise. If I had searched for 5 years I would not have found a better tire but the added bonus here is it's ability to provide great traction in slippery conditions of snow and ice. Northeast MO had a more severe than usual winter this year with a lot of snow and ice. I don't remember this tire losing traction one time. I felt completely safe and in total control through everything this winter threw at me. It is worth putting on your vehicle for that reason alone. This will be my go to tire for everything from now on, it is that good!

These tires have been great. They grip really good around corners and during the rain. I haven't used them in winter weather yet so im not sure about snow and ice performance. They are quiet while driving down the highway and ride smooth. I am very impressed with the performance so far. I think i have found a new car tire at a great price as long as it performs good during winter weather.

Excellent tire.  I say ""3-Season"" because I run dedicated winter tires in the winter months and not the AS-05, so I do not know how they would fare as a winter tire.   I have them on a Mazda6 and I am a very spirited driver.  Excellent grip in both wet & dry, with great feedback.  Very quiet.  Very happy.  Would buy again.

I have had two sets of GTs and they are great for millage life span and wet weather as well as light snow. I had one set for 5yrs and put the same set on 4 different cars before I had to replace them. Also have ARCTIC snow tires and they are fantastic in the winter and deep snow.

I have a 2015 Dodge Charger RT and I drive a lot of miles for work, so I needed good all-around tires that were still able to keep up with my spirited driving style.  I was hesitant about taking the ""budget"" approach with these tires but have been extremely happy with the G-Max tires!  The lateral cornering ability of these tires, especially considering the heft of the Charger, is impressive.  It takes quite a bit to generate understeer and they remain predicable.   The wet traction is awesome! I had begun to question driving a rear-wheel drive vehicle in MN (it should be noted that I do have winter wheels and tires for the winter months) with all the rain and temperature changes, but the wet traction of the Generals is very impressive.  After 7000 miles treadwear seems to be even and minimal.

I bought these at the suggestion of a Ford service mechanic. You can't beat the price, but right when I started driving them, they started to vibrate quite a bit. I'm usually a Michelin guy and never had this issue with those. However, the vibration has gone down significantly, but not completely gone. All in all, these are great tires for the price, but not top-tier like Michelin. If you've got the money, spend it on the top-tier...if not, these are a great option.

I replaced a set of Goodyear Eagle GTs with these and am very happy with the improved wet weather traction over the Goodyears. Although I don't have that many miles on them as of yet, the G-Max tires have proved to be quieter and improved cornering in wet or dry conditions. Time will tell the rest of the story, but I'm a happy camper for now.

Tires grip in wet and dry very good.  Snow no go.  Only draw back is when tires are cold there must be flat spots that make the tires vibrate alot.  i still have a small vibration once they warm up,  had them re-balanced twice. Maybe the rims? they were purchased new with the tires, Tolerable but not perfect.Price was good  225x45R18

I've had these for a couple of months now. I noticed right away that these tires are much quieter than my last set of Goodyears and give me a smoother ride. Wet and dry traction are great but I'll have to wait a few months until I can try them in snow. I definitely got my money's worth. These are the first set of Non-Eagles in 20 years.

I've had these tires for nearly 5,000 miles bought late fall. I drive very aggressively and cannot day enough about the grip they offer! We've had 2 6"" snowfalls now and these AS-05's walk right thru it. They are also much softer ride than my GoodYears I had previously!! I'd buy again in a heartbeat!
