AWFUL TIRES

These tires(175/65R15) came on the 2012 Mini Cooper I purchased new. After one year and 10,000 miles, they needed replaced at inspection. Now two years later and another 10,000 miles, I need another set of tires. When they're new, they are great even in snow. The wear on these tires is terrible. These are the most god awful brand of tires I've ever purchased.  Unfortunately when I needed to replace the first set at 10,000 miles, my only option was to buy them again.  I was hoping it was the typical problem of the original first set not lasting long since that seems to be an issue with every new car I've purchased.  Trying to find another brand in this size.

Thanks for provided real world feedback regarding the tires performance. The one thing we do not know is how the tires have worn. If you have even treadwear down to 2/32", with proof of tire rotation every 6,000 miles, we can assist with replacement of the tires. We will reach out to you directly with additional information.

Loud and wearing out very fast

My 2015 Fiat 500 Sport came with ContiPro tires from the factory and although they were a bit loud as they wore down I got close to 62,000 miles before I was down to the wear bands. Since it seemed like a good running long lasting tire, I replaced all 4 tires with the exact same ContiPro 195/45/16 84H tires my car left the factory with and also had a 4 wheel alignment. These new ContiPro tires are unbearably loud and 30,000 miles since installation 3 out of 4 tires are down to the wear bands. The alignment has been checked and re-checked, tire pressure has been kept to the door placard setting and rotations with every oil change and still in half the rated miles the tires need to be replaced again.

The ContiProContact comes with a 30 day customer satisfaction trial. If not exchanged during this period of time, it would normally be found and corrected after the first tire rotation. For issues that develop and over time, it may be due to an irregular tire wear pattern. In this case, if the tires are evenly worn down to 2/32" of tread remaining with proof of tire rotation on schedule, the tires will be exchanged pro rata under warranty.

horrible tire wear

These tires came with my 2013 Dodge Avenger which I have had for just over 2 years. The car has had every scheduled oil change and tire rotation that was called for and has less than 30,000 miles on the car. The tires already need replacing due to tread wear (not covered under any warranty when on a new car). For tires that if bought separate have a 60k/72 month warranty I find that a tire that wears down with normal use and proper use in less than half of its life is not worth the money it would cost me for these tires. I have had cheep bottom of the line tires last longer than 30,000 miles.

OK for factory tires

These were the factory tires on my 2012 Subaru Outback. I live in WI and have had these tires since I bought the car. I drive about 65 miles/day round trip and they are fairly quiet. They handle nicely in the snow, sleet, ice and rain. I was told that the all-wheel drive feature creates an uneven wear pattern. Nonetheless, I am at 55,200 miles and need to replace them. The tread in the center of the tire is good, but the outer aspect is poor. Not sure if this is the tire, the all wheel drive or an alignment/balance issue. (In defense of the tire manufacturer, I didn't rotate them like I should have.) I have averaged about 28-31 mpg on the highway with these with winter being the lower & summer being the higher.

Awesome traction when new

Rotated every 10,000 miles (Every oil change for this baby SUV) and the tires wore perfectly evenly. Car currently has 55K miles on it and tires are down to the wear bars. Absolutely awesome traction when new, we drove our Escape down an unplowed road in rural Wisconsin a few winters ago. Snow was higher than the front bumper of the car, and we were throwing it over the windshield at 30-45 MPH. When everything thawed out, we took the Escape down a "minimum maintenance road" in rural Minnesota - and fell through the mud. The muck was up to the axles of the little SUV, but it still managed to pull its way out of the mess with a minimum of fuss (Which went on for a good 2 miles). Note if you try this stunt, be sure to hose out the wheels - parts of the wheels were actually underground for a bit, so they got jammed full of mud and everything shook due to unbalancing the wheels from all the mud and gunk jammed on the inside of the wheel

Came With Car

Bought a new 2013 Nissan Altima and it came with these tires, I have 58000 miles on it and the tires are just coming to the wear bars. I rotate them at 7000 miles run pressure at 35 psi. Car still handles great, very good in wet weather. I live in the northeast so they get driven in snow every winter. The only reason I'm on this site is to find another set of these and compare them to other tires. I know I'll get much better than 60000 miles. Very pleased with the tire.

treadwear

I purchased my nissan versa back in May 2016 brand new. I got almost 27,000 miles on these tires when the dealership would no longer rotate them because of the treadwear. These tires have a 60,000 mile warranty on them. I rotated them every 5,000 miles. I would like for the warranty to come in to effect.

Unfortunately, product use, (treadwear), is excluded from the original equipment tire warranty. Once the tires are worn down to 2/32" of tread remaining,t he original equipment tire warranty ends; regardless of the time in use or miles driven. Although treadwear is excluded, if you have even treadwear down to 2/32" of tread remaining, with proof of tire rotation on schedule, we may be able to assist you outside the original equipment tire warranty. Sidewall buckle

I am on my second set of ContiProContacts for a 2013 Audi A6, the original set lasted 55,000 miles. I am currently at 80K and have to replace as the sidewall buckled when I hit a pothole this winter. Overall, I have been happy with these tires, but am a bit disappointed about the sidewall issue. In 35 years of driving, I've never had this issue before, and I've hit plenty of potholes in that time.

ContiProContact's are Amazing tires

These tires came on my '13 VW CC 4Motion Exec car. I have had them for nearly 4 years. Unbelievable tires. I don't understand the bad reviews either. I have driven some of the best AWD cars, Audi A4, Audi A6 Allroad, VW Passat 4Motion, and a VW Touareg. All had Quattro or 4Motion. All with H rated M+S tires, either from Pirelli or Michelin. These are my first ContiProContacts. These tires are hands down the best tires on any pavement condition, dry/wet/snow/or ice. I am able to drive fast with serious control in all conditions. The people that complain about these tires, it just might be the car, the driver, or the need for an alignment or the PSI, because is not the tires. I live in Colorado and we frequently get snow, ice, hail, and/or boatloads of rain. And possibly all on the same day! Couple that with wind that exceeds 75MPH. The siping that comes on these tires simply rocks. I never slip. I am very confident behind the wheel. One time I even climbed out of a mountain pass covered in a sheet of ice. I drove up it like it was dry. I was there for a conference, so we were all leaving at roughly the same time. The overnight snow became a snowpacked sheet of ice by the time I left. No problem for me. I could stop, start, stop, start, never a slip. Drove around them all, going slow or fast or slow, didn't matter. I went back to help push all kinds of four wheel drive and front wheel drive cars up the hill so they could simply get out. And that was really hard, because we could barely stand on the ice. I felt way safer in the car! If you live or have to drive in inclement weather, these tires on any Audi/VW product with AWD and these ContiProContacts is a very wise choice!!

Best tires I've ever owned- great value!

These tires came standard equipment on my 2013 Nissan Altima. At first, I wondered why Nissan would select this brand of tire for my top of the line Nissan. As the miles click away I'm starting to understand. I am amazed at the miles I have gotten on my Conti Pro Contacts! 68K and still going! My husband and I are so impressed that we tell everyone about the great service we have gotten from these tires. Continental Conti Pro's just may be the last great value in America!
