I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS TIRE!

These tires are HORRIBLE!!! I have a 300 Mercedes Benz and the dealer in Pittsburgh pa Rahal is always telling me my tires need replaced every 50,000 miles, I've replaced these tires it seems like once a yr. Now I cant and will not stand in good ratings for these tires! I really think the manufacture and the dealers are in cahoots together!!!

Thank you for providing feedback about our tires. Please keep in mind that the tread wear warranty is 40,000 - 60,000 miles depending on the speed rating of your tires. If you are averaging 50,000 miles, this is in line with the product warranty. As for recommendations on replacement, the tires do not need replacement until they reach 2/32" of tread remaining. However, your service department may recommend replacement at 4/32" if your area has severe winter conditions.

OE ContiPro Contact Tires

ContiPro Contact tires came as original equipment on my 2010 MINI Cooper bought in July 2010. With less than 30,000 miles on the tires, even less with the use of four winter tires from November to March each year, the wear on the tires is down to 4/32 in front and 3/32 in rear and dealer is recommending replacement. Seems kind of fast wear for OE tires which come with a 6 year warranty, don't you think? And the only remedy is a pro rated replacement. With the same horribly performing tires? I don't think so.

If I had bought a Subaru I wouldn't blame the tire

Have 4K OE miles on a new BMW 328 xDrive (2011 awd) w/17 inch wheels. BMW uses run flats (SSR). I wonder if this increased sidewall construction changes a tire as much as truck version is different from a auto version. For instance the Bridgestone Revo AT series on my other vehicle a Toyota Landcruier In a 17 inch wheel size with a suspension that is tuned to the SSR might tires as planted on rails and no side roll. Live in the NM and drive a lot of narrow high mountain roads that I share in the summer with bikes. Never overdrive my line vision into the turns, even though the uphill acceleration brake system and tires are better what I can see. Experimented with controlled panic stops, straight on, no fade, worlds class stopping form 100 mph . Yeah we straight road too. All tires are a design compromise. In the winter I will deal with 6+ inches of fresh powder snow at 10,000 ft at the ski area and later at 7,000 in town and 50 degrees (F) or higher in winter. I'll let you know on that & wear. I am always amazed that folks never read reviews or their cars owner's manual. Don't think Subaru has ever made a off road vehicle (truck frame). But isn't the point of that purchase?

Definitely would buy this kind of tires again

Tires came with my Buick Verano 2016 Touring Edition Endured the heavy full pack drive from San Diego to Virginia encountering storms, some dirt road in Texas and Potholes along the way. I even went like 120 mph on it. I have 34,000 miles on my car and I love going fast the tires keeps up with me even with the curbs on exits when you slow down from 80 down to a 25 miles exit. I would definitely buy the same tires as replacement when the time comes because it's already tested.

I cant believe the amount of bad reviews on these tires. These came with my 2019 subaru impreza and wow these things were amazing. At 80k miles i finally have to replace them. Even with awd they still lasted a long time and i never even rotated them and they wore pretty evenly. I drive my car super hard. I drive down curvy roads fast. I could never get these tires to slip in the rain. I would purposely take corners hard in the rain to see if they would slip and they never did. Now once they started getting more worn the grip definitely wasnt as good but that's just normal. 5 years old and 80k miles im very happy and will buy them again.

Tread wear less than advertised

New 2011 Subaru outback, dealer oil chainges and tire rotations as recommended. Now at 35,000 miles all are uniformly needing replacement as I am on the wear indicators. The tires have been acceptable in Colorado driving but seems short in the mileage catagory for a not very "sticky" tire. I recommend if found at a fantastic price.

Tires don't hold up

I only put 19575 miles on these tires and used nitrogen. I understand how driving affects tire wear but highway driving is totally different than city driving and thats where this tire suffers. It just not a good tire which can standup to being driven over the long haul. I would not recommend this tire to any except may a person who only drives their care once in a while.

Unhappy Tourx
1 out of 5 stars review

Do not buy ProContacts. 3 of 4 tires failed.

I’ve run summer and winter continental tires on my last two cars. So I was happy when my new Buick tourx came with continental tires. Last fall all of a sudden my right front tire developed a horrible vibration. I decided I would just change to my winter tires and rebalance in the spring. This spring I put the tires back on and the vibration made the car undrivable. My local shop rebalanced the one tire but said it took a lot of weights and even though he couldn’t see it there had to be a broken belt on that tire. Put two snow tires on and ordered two used tires. Before I could get the new (used) tires mounted I suddenly got another severe vibration on one of the front continentals. I makes that tire and changed that tire with the other rear tire that was still good. That tire now vibrates horribly too. Of the 4 original tires, 3 have failed horribly and suddenly. My only recourse is through the steeler and I’m not hopeful that I will get any relief. Hate these tires so much I will probably never buy Continental tires ever again.

Much better ride than OE brand Run Flat tires

I purchased the Continental ContiProContact Run Flat tires prior to making an 8,000 mile, seven week round trip from MI to northern CA in a 2003 BMW Z4 roadster and couldn't have been more pleased with the improvement over the OE brand of tires. The trip included all types of road surfaces and terraines with mountain driving as well as the famed Pacific Coast highways US 101 and US 1.

Nogo treads

Tires came as oem on my 2010 jetta wagon. Very fast wear wihin 14000 on front two and 20000 for all four to be replaced. Not happy with the product whatsoever. It is a shame that they wont stand behind a product whether it is good or bad. The name is one of a brand I wont purchase.
