Compared to whey protein, I find this to be a little bit gritty, even when mixed using a blender. The taste of the French Vanilla is great. I like to use it in a smoothie that I take either before and/or after my workout. Using it in a smoothie hides that little bit of grittiness that I experience when only mixing it with water. My other experience with a vegetable protein was horrible. The stuff would not hardly dissolve in anything, and was like trying to drink flavored sand. This Purely Inspired Organic Protein Powder is definitely worth trying if you want to get away from high cholesterol whey protein.

It is a quality protein in that it digests clean and doesn't cause me any gastric distress or irritation like cheaper quality blends can. There are multiple ways to use it and each container has a lot of product, making it a good value. That said, it's only worth it if you will actually consume it. My husband and I weren't fans. As a shake, it has a chalky flavor, even when you try to mask it with peanut butter. As for feeling full, we were both hungry in a few hours, far less than what we were expecting. This is okay in a pinch, but there are better ways to get protein in that actually fill you up and taste good.

The French vanilla flavor actually tastes good so I want to drink it and it's less of a chore. It is sweet but also a little chalky, which is how I feel about most protein powders. It's not overwhelmingly chalky and I definitely enjoy drinking it. It is easy to blend. It only has 2 grams of sugar and I love the ingredients and the fact that it is plant based.

We do the keto diet and one of these a day is low enough in carbs for us to enjoy all the benefits of this powder. The taste is also really good and it makes us feel like we are definitely getting a treat!

I have used whey protein for sometime now but decided to switch it up and try organic plant based protein. I can honestly say it's much different than I am used to! I'm on that search to find the perfect protein that taste good with just water, is low calprie, high fiber and doesn't make me super gassy. The good news is this protien powder got everything on that list except the taste. I haven't really every liked vegan protiens, they just taste too earthy and this protien was sadly the same. I liked everythibg else about it. So i will continue to try it other ways, maybe with milk? Or in protien waffles. I'm disappointed I can't enjoy it mixed with just water.
