This doesn't seem to work any better then the stick on window antenna which we had before and will put back in service. Will be returning

The signal can be amplified from 65 to 75 miles. It comes very neatly packaged and is very compact. The contents of the package contain a white weather resistant and uv coated antenna, coax cable, vhf rods, cord with plug and screws it does not contain the mounting pole that you will need to attach to your roof or house. This antenna is very easy to set up and it can be used inside or outside. For easy set up use existing antenna rods so that you don't have to drill extra holes and remember to use the connector rg6 cable. Please remember to scan to see which channels come in best and clear.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have purchased and returned several antennas over the years, since they did not work very well at my location. Most HDTV antennas available are for the UHF channels only. Four of the stations where I live, including ABC, are on VHF. In order to receive those stations I have been using an old pair of VHF rabbit ears, with an amplifier, combined with an amplified UHF antenna. With that setup I was sometimes able to receive 20 channels, but they typically never worked at the same time. That was wonderful though compared to the antennas I tried and returned! NBC would often not work, and the VHF channels would almost always be a pixelated mess. I was doubtful this Antop model would work any better than the antenna setup I was using, but I was wrong. This Antop antenna is very easy to assemble by just screwing the two VHF poles onto the main body of the antenna, if needed at your location. Attach the included coaxial cable to the antenna and the included amplifier, attach to your television, then connect the power supply to the amplifier and you are done. You can mount the antenna either vertically or horizontally. This antenna can be used either outdoors or indoors. For now, I have mine mounted indoors in an attic converted into a bedroom. I mounted the antenna with the included brackets to a scrap piece of 1 1/2” PVC pipe. There is also an included tabletop stand that I also tried. When I turned on my television I received all 20 channels, without any problems, that I could barely get with my old setup. I could not believe it. Finally! I was excited that everything was working great, until the VHF channels pixelated. Then NBC on UHF also started messing up. At this point, I was frustrated and figured there is no hope. So I took it all back down and placed it on the tabletop stand and put the antenna in the window. This did not produce good results so I put it back on the PVC pipe and placed the antenna lower on the pipe next to the window. Since the signal on the VHF channels at my location are the weakest, I watched the signal indicator on my analog to digital television converter box. The signal for the VHF channels is staying around 42 percent. The UHF channels all have a strong signal. All 20 channels now come in crystal clear again. This Antop “Big Boy” AT-402BV antenna is by far the best antenna I have tried. It is much neater looking than what I was using, and it is a very quick and simple all-in-one solution. With my old setup, the stations would often lose the signal during the daytime but this antenna is keeping the stations clear. If you have tried other antennas that did not work very well, or at all, you may want to try this Antop model. This is an excellent antenna and I highly recommend it. If it is not perfect at first, move it around until you find the reception sweet spot. Thank you Antop and Walmart!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my review of the Antop Boyu201D, The first thing I noticed removing it from the package was how nice it works I have a very modern home and this will look great indoors outdoors or even when I use my RV I first hooked it up indoors to see how many channels I will get, I know from previous antennas I usually get three and that's all I can get while I hooked it up which was simple I put it near a window and I ran the channels setup On my TV I noticed when it was looking for channels that it was adding channels all together I got 28 channels I believe I'm about 35 to 40 miles from the stations are usually only get three. The picture came in very clear I've had no problem with it since hooking it up the one thing I really do like is that I also can use it outside which I will give it a try but for now I'm happy with the channels I get and I will continue to use it.

I have tried other antennas before in an attempt to cut the cord on cable but was never able to receive the local channels or really any channels at all. The Antop Big Boy pleasantly surprised me. I was able to receive the local channels as well as many other channels. Not only did I receive them but the reception was crystal clear. I am very very  happy with this product. It was relatively easy to install, the directions were easy to follow. It included everything needed to set up and mount. This antenna is very nice looking as well. It is not an eye sore at all. You can use the antenna inside or out. I have mine mounted outside. It seems to be very sturdy and weather resistant. The antenna holds up to the elements well. I am so pleased with the amount of channels I now receive and am even more thrilled that I am now able to cut the cord on the overpriced cable bill. Thanks Antop! I highly recommend this antenna to every one looking to cut the cord as well!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product seems to be well made and appears sturdy. it stands up to the high winds I get from the S.W. The antenna positioning bolt had to be tightened by a socket wrench and I also had to use pliers to tighten the two wing nuts on the U-bolt provided to attach to antenna pole because the tightest I could get with a screw driver and my fingers respectively did not withstand the small storm that moved through shortly after I got it all done; the wind was able to tweak the direction of the antenna out of alignment, so had to reposition and tighten everything the next morning. I have it approx. 6' above the height of the eaves of my house and there is nothing blocking the sight-of-line to the tower. It was fairly easy to install on the pole which I had made and sunk into the ground & attached to my house. It is about 50 miles to the television towers surrounding this part of rural northern San Diego County. It has great reception of most of the local Network affiliates such as NBC, CBS , ABC & Fox,these are the main channels and 6 other local channels which includes PBS. Overall I think this will be a good alternative to CABLE or SATELLITE which could cost be over $500 per Year. I will recommend this System for the Good construction of the components & the Value it will bring me over the years compared to the other more expensive ways of Watch TV.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose this antenna hoping it would solve my television issues. I live on the very outskirts of town in a very rural place. Where I live there are woods on three sides of my house and I have many issues losing signals. My cable went out often and I felt like a was paying way too much for part-time service. I cancelled cable and tried one antenna after the other. I just felt as if I would simply miss out on all my favorite television programs. So; I wasn't overly anticipating a better result with this antenna. Boy was I pleasantly wrong! This antenna has been the best thing ever. I have it setting on the 2nd floor roof; which happens to be accessible right outside of a floor- level window in the attic. This antenna picks up such a long rang of channels. I can now access local channels that I have never been able to access. It has made my HDTV so might better. Sometimes I feel as if I am watching a 3-D movie with everything I watch; even the news (which has made Christmas toy commercial wants exceedingly exaggerated!). This has probably been the single most money saving purchase. It has paid for itself within a couple months. Living so close to the "snow-belt" made me skeptical about the reliability due to the constant barrage of changing weather; but it's been surprisingly reliable. I am not a big enthusiast of technology; but this was without a doubt, the best "unexpected improvement" to our house. I highly recommend it (especially if you want to cut that cable bill).

I bought this antenna after multiple other antenna purchases. I live in a rural area and have not been able to pick up local CBS channels at all even with a sling outdoor antenna so I really didn't expect much from this one either being an indoor/outdoor antenna but to my surprise it is wonderful. I get 13 channels versus 8 previously. I use it indoors and I took the sidebars off because it was to big with them attached, thinking it probably would not work without them but it works great. Highly recommend this antenna.
