Price Was Right and Algaecide 40 Worked Well

This MM Algaecide 40 worked great in our pool. We were fighting algae growth toward the end of Summer, and decided to try this product. The blue color of the liquid changed the color of the pool water so we could visually see the algaecide working. The algaecide did result in a decent amount of bubbles/suds produced by the pool jets. Over the next couple weeks the suds retreated and the pool stays free of algae. The slight blue color change to the pool water continues to lessen.

Well Worth the Money

We've been using this Algaecide for the last 3 years with excellent results. 1 gallon treats our 20'x40'' pool on a heavily wooded lot, where we battle with leaves daily. The case contains 2 gallons which is all we need each season, for opening and through the entire summer.

Substitute for wet and forget

Great product at a great price! Members Mark Algaecide 40 has the same chemicals in it as Wet and Forget but at a 40% concentration instead of Wet and Forget’s 10%. I have used it on1/2 mile of white poly horse fence for the past three years and it works great at about 10% of the cost of wet and forget. I mix it 6 oz/ gallon of water and add 1 oz/ gallon of fabuloso as a wetting agent.

Works great

We fought yellow algae in our pool for a couple months. Then we tried this product and it's gone with the first use and has been gone for over a month. Highly recommend.

Great algaecide

Purchased this last summer and never had an issue so I decided to purchase it again this year. Very pleased with no issues in our pool the entire season.

Best product

This product is the best deal for your money. It is very concentrated and works great. Another name brand product at the same price point needs one gallon for an initial dose (for my size pool!) I only need 16 oz of the Member's Mark product to start and 4 oz a week if I need it for a booster. At first glance, one would think it is expensive, but after you realize you only need 1/8 the product, it is well worth it! It wirks great and keeps my pool free of algea growth.

Algacide in 24 round pool

Works pretty good, as good as anything I have purchased for preventing algae, and you get a lot of product for the price. In my experience you need to add it more than weekly, I use the weekly dose about 3x a week. If your pool gets green its not real good at killing the bloom, but of you shock it good to get rid of the bloom, it will help keep it under control.

Sea of foam

Horrible product. I put in the recommended amount and my pool turned into a sea of foam. Still after 2 weeks I had so much foam, I had to invest in de-foaming products just to get rid of some of the foam. If I wasn't in rain parched California, I would have drained my pool, but with the drought, that wasn't an option. I will give it 2 stars, because it did seem to get rid of most of the algae.

Watch Out For The Foam !!!

Economic in value, especially compared to Leslie's Algaecide. However, don't follow the initial values for new pools. You will have foam for days! Don't put it into the spa separately because if you do . . . it will generate foam that will bubble out of the spa when you turn the air jet on. Know the volume of your pool. Then whatever the recommended amount to add, add 75% of that. That way, you'll somewhat control the foaming.

SEE PICTURES!!

THIS PRODUCT CREATES A NIGHTMARE! SEE PICTURES! I don't typically write reviews but if I can save someone the headache. The foam and smell will not go away. It has been almost a week. We have removed all foam by buckets for days and it still comes back!
