These are performance ...

These are performance all-season tires which are a necessity in Iowa with rain, snow and ice. They are not inexpensive, but worth the price considering the ride, handling and almost non-existant road noise. I live on a very steep, paved road, yet I have always been able to get up the hill on the worst winter days. I'm sure this is due partially to the fact that my car is FWD with stability and traction control and partially because of the traction that these tires have. They have one of the best mileage warranties of any performance tire out there and if they live up to that warranty, I will never buy another set of tires other than the Primacy.

Extreme performance, extreme tread life

I've pushed these to there limits and beyond numerous times and they don't fail traction easily. I run these on an Acura TL and I drive it like a true sports car. Wet performance is just fair to good but very predictable. Tread life is incredible but the long life means you have to protect the sidewall from dry cracking and don't forget about the inside wall. I haven't found a tire that performs better and I've run through a lot of tires.

Excellent handling,traction,& rain shed

Bought this set as replacement for factory "soft" originals. Tires have lasted 40,000-45,000 miles over rough back country roads. I have put them through all kinds of difficult surface driving and have had no failures. My 08 Camry SE fits this set very well.

Michelin needs to issue a recall on these tires!

Tire sidewalls started showing signs of dry rot 7 months after purchase. Inspection mechanic stated tires shouldn't look this bad on a new vehicle. Tires look like they've aged ten years. Michelin calls it ozone cracking, read other people's reviews for yourself. Do not purchase these tires!

Terrible Tires

These came on my brand new 2016 Honda Odyssey. My vehicle is 2.5 years old with 28,000 miles, and the dealership won't even rotate the tires because the are all less than 2/32 tread depth. These are supposed to be 60,000 mile tires! I have rotated the tires every oil change per dealership advice, and still this happened. Very displeased with these tires and I will absolutely be looking for a different brand.

Great Tire

Great tires! For my 2006 Honda Accord (EX V6 6 Speed Manual), these are imrepssive. Excellent wet condition handling and very sporty. They are SMOOTH! As they have worn, I drive 40k-50k a year, they are starting to be a little noisy, but that could be the roads in Nashville TN. All in all I want another set!

Good Tire!

This has been a good tire. I'm happy with the performance. I drive a Ford Taurus SHO all-wheel-drive. I used it in two heavy snows in February, each snow over 14 to 18 inches deep. My car got around just fine in those heavy snows, while others were stranded or stuck completely. I do not hear any road noise from this tire while driving. On my first set of these tires, I got over 60,000 miles of use. I will buy another set of these tires if I keep this car until I need more tires.

Too Bad They Were Discontinued 5 Years Ago

These were the OEM tires for 2010 Nissan Altima . Replaced in early 2015 at 48,000 miles with tread life left on them. I don't wait till they are at 2/32. This model was replaced by the Premier A/S but I wanted and found these MXV4 tires again. Didn't need to read reviews- I knew I wanted them again. Found them and bought them. I have now put over 50,000 miles on this set in 4 and a half years. Yet again they have at least 4/32, but with winter coming I will replace them soon. So I'm not sure about the 60,000 mile rating. I wouldn't risk keeping them another year. I drive in hellhole NYC where the roads simply suck. Potholes and roads that have not been repaved in literally over 20 years. Also I drive all over the northeast from Maine to Virginia in all types of weather putting on about 10k per year. For all the recent reviews not liking this tire, maybe it is because no dealer should be putting these tires on a new car. Unless I'm wrong they were probably manufactured at LEAST five years ago! Michelin had announce in 2014 they were being discontinued. Simply put the car dealers doing this are irresponsible.Think about where and how the tires were stored before being put on a new vehicle! They really have to be degraded after sitting around for so long. The manufacture date is on the tire - check it out before you buy any tire. Anyway, these have been great tires first time around and second as well. I wish they still made them. I'll end up buying the Premier when I get new tires. The Michelin's I've owned preciously have all been great.

Thanks for the awesome review, ritchieblkmore! Most sizes of the Primacy MXV4 have been discontinued, however there are a few select sizes that are still in production. Feel free to contact us at 866-866-6605 should you have any questions. Thanks again!

I will always insist on this tire!

It was time for my 3rd tire change on my 2003 Mercedes S Class and I went to get my 3rd set of Michelin Primacy tires. I was talked into another brand by a sales associate. Reluctantly, I put them on. That weekend, I was planning a 300 mile round trip sojourn and hit the road. I noticed some things were quite different about this trip. First, it seemed the ride was harsh. I could feel every inconsistency in the road. Then I noticed the noise, an annoying hum. Then I looked at the MPG readout and was shocked to see I wasn't breaking 20 MPG. Normally I can expect 25 MPG on the highway. I returned to the dealer and said I didn't like the tires they sold me and wanted Michelin Primacy tires back on my car. I cited the drop of 5 mpg, rough ride, and noise in my defense. In their defense, the owner came out and went over my complaints. He decided to credit me fully and upgrade me to Michelin's. All is well now. My milage has returned, my ride is practically silent, and I'm not beat up by a rough ride anymore. Oh yeah, the last comment by the sales associate after the switch, "Of course you like the Michelin's, they're a much better tire. In fact, they're the best!" Go figure. I will never make that mistake again.

A very quiet running tire. Provides excellent handling on both dry and wet roads. Great cornering ability. I have run Michelin tires for the past 30+ years and this tire continues the fine tradition in all aspects of Michelin. And that is why I continue with Michelin.
