The Michelin Defenders 265 50r 20 tires on my 2014 jeep grand cherokee make a lot of noise. I am really disappointed with that part of the tire. I have been using Michelin tires on my vehicles for over 20 years and will continue to do so. Help me out Michelin what is going on with the noisy ti

I have a set on my van, 2500 diesel and 1500. I couldn't be more happy. I had purchased a set of bf all terrains for my 2500 before these and they lasted 25k , the defenders have 65k on them and are still about 70 percent tread left. I will never go back to anything but Michelin, they are by far the best on the market for any make or model of vehicle. Also I run them all year round and find them just as good as snow tires on the trucks, I run x ice xi2 on the van and it is remarkable how good they are. I hope anyone that is trying to decide what to buy. Please spend a little more money and buy Michelins you will not regret it! Thank you Michelin for creating such a great product that I can trust and depend on every day.

I've been driving since 1983. I've driven a tremendous amount of miles for someone who doesn't make a living driving cargo. I've run the first 2 versions of this line on a Chevy Tahoe 4x4 and Ford F-150 4x4. These tires are amazing. They run noticeably smoother, quieter and longer than OEM tires. They are absolutely the best all purpose on road tire available in our Cleveland and Ohio climate. I know Michelin does not approve running tires too long and I never will again. but our last set, on the Tahoe, ran 117,000 miles when we sold the Tahoe at 260,000 miles. A friend purchased the vehicle and said the tires ran another 10,000 miles.

I have 38,000 miles on this set and it’s time to replace them. This set is on a GMC Sierra 1500 SLT 4x4. I drive 90% city and 10% dirt roads and no towing. I was pleased with the quiet comfortable ride. However, I was very unsatisfied with how unevenly they wore down and the short lifespan.

Have had direct experience with this particular tire since 2006 when they were supplied as original equipment on the Honda Ridgeline. Now as a retired import technician, I can honestly say that I have never seen a problem with these tires under normal driving conditions. With normal tire rotation, tire pressure checks, and correct wheel alignment, I have seen them last well past 130,000 kilometres before reaching the wear markers. They are a great tire for light duty trucks and SUV’s. I personally recommended and installed these tires to many customer vehicles with very positive results always. I can say with confidence that my recent set of improved LTX Defenders that I installed on my 2008 Honda Ridgeline have exceeded expectations. They are quiet, have great road feel, and improved grip in slippery conditions.

I am a recently retired Fleet Manager with 40 years managing a large municipal fleet including Fire and Emergency Services vehicles and in my career Michelin has always been my number one choice for all on road units. The quality of the defender tire no only provides an excellent ride on my truck but also great tread wear which equals long life and economical operation costs.

I have had 3 sets of Defenders on my 2006 4Runner and I they were great tires for 210,000 miles. I decided to buy a set for my 2018 Grand Cherokee. I made a expensive mistake. They are very loud and very rough riding. They have changed the whole demeaner of my SUV. I have only had them for a week and about 500 miles but I have talked to the dealer about changing tires. He suggested Latitude Touring which was the OEM tire on my Jeep. I only got 29,000 miles out of those. I really need to find a solution. Can I change out for the Premier series? Thanks

Defender is a great tire, could not have picked a better day to replace my Wanglers. Felt like I was driving a different truck with the Michelins final on, quite, good control, ride that feels like your floating. Only draw back to me I always felt like I was driving 10 MPH slower. Had to keep my eye on speed until I adjust to them. Highly recommend.

In the past Michelin tires have had clean side molding process. The Defender tires that I recently purchased does not have clean molding lines. One tire tire is perfect while the other three have extra rubber “flaps* around the tire side wall. Time will tell how they hold up. Maybe I’m picky but the extra molding rubber makes them look cheap.

I have been driving and buying tires for over 50 yrs and these LTX M/S are by far the smoooothest riding tires I ever had. I could feel the difference in 2 blocks. I only have 200 miles on them so I have to wait and see how they last. I only give them 4 stars because I just bought them. They are NOT cheap but I think they will be worth it.
