Short Life Span

I only have approximately 17, 700 miles on these Premier LTX tires. The mechanic doing my regular maintenance red flagged all 4 tires. Why do 60K mile tires last for less than 20K miles. I do live in a rural town and have to drive a ways to get to the stores but I'm not doing any four wheeling in my Acadia. They have been on my car less than 2 years.

Do not trust the warranty

I bought these tires for my Jeep Grand Cherokee as it was the original tires. I changed them when the original tires were at about 35,000 miles which is not a lot but the tires are really good for all season (especially in snow, I drove my Jeep in over a foot of fresh snow without any problem). Now I have these tires for 25,000 miles and 1 of them is completely worn while the 3 others could easily go another 10,000 miles. I've been told that is normal treadlife and they were sorry if one was worn earlier but warranty doesn't cover it. So now I have to change the 4 tires for new one because of 1 that was defective.

Tread worn out at half their warranty life

Same as the others. I went to a mechanic today to see if I had some tire damage and he told me the tread on my tires was all low and I needed to replace all of them. they have 25K miles on them but the warranty is 60K. Sure enough, I come on here, and the comments here are FILLED with people with this exact same issue.

Don't buy these tires.

These came on my Lexus RX450h and have been rotated twice the car has 12500 miles and the tread is already down to 4/32nd. These will be lucky to make it to 20k before they have to be replaced. I have Michelin Defenderson my Prius and they have 50k on them and still have 6/32 on them.

Completely Disappointed

I bought a used Cadillac XT6 in July 2022 with just under 20k miles on it. These were the stock tires put on all XT6's apparently. At 30k I tried to rotate the tires only to find out they were at 3/32 or 4/32. The autobody shop wouldn't even rotate them for me since the tread was so bad. I am surprised Michelin hasn't recalled all of these tires after reading everyone's review. SO DISAPPOINTING!!!

Disappointed in WA, the original equipment tires do not have a mileage warranty on them. Also, the warranty is non-transferrable. One of our team members will be in touch to discuss with you further.

Fabulous Tires, Especially in Wet Weather.

The absolute best tires I've ever owned, and I've owned all of the top brands. I don't know why so many folks have rated these tires low. This is my second review of these tires, and the other review I only had 5k miles on them. Now, I've put 60k on them, still have amazing tread left, and they grip the road very well. I live in New England, and use these Premiers year round. They are more than adequate in the snow, and are seriously beasts in heavy rain. No hydroplaning whatsoever, even at 60k. I think that I have another 10k left.

Great feel, terrible performance

Bought new Lexus RX350L 2022 with 25K miles and all maintenance done as per specs, by the dealership. Dealership recommended changing all 4 tires due to wear. What? No other brand tires I've used in the past had such terrible performance. I do like the feel of the car, but I cannot replace with same tire if the tires perform so poorly.

EMW, sorry to read of this. You could take your vehicle to have an authorized Michelin retailer inspect the tires. Ask the dealer to call us with their findings at 866-866-6605 while you are there.

Lousy Tread Life

These came as original equipment on my 2021 Toyota Highlander Hybrid. I took that as a sign of Toyota's investment in quality. So I was extremely surprised and disappointed to be told by my dealer at 32,000 miles that they would likely need replacing at my next visit at 40,000, and that is what has happened. I've bought many Michelins, but for the first time I'm questioning the wisdom of that.

Pathetic

This tire came from the factory on my new Jeep Grand Cherokee. At first I was excited to see that my new Jeep came with my favorite brand of tires, Michelin. The excitement didn't last long. They are surprisingly loud on pavement. They perform poorly in snow, are dangerous on ice, and hydroplane in heavy rain. I did rotate them and watch their air pressure, but now at only 34,000 miles they are worn out. I would be embarrassed to put my brand name on these tires. Pathetic.

Dano12, we are sorry to read that you are not satisfied with the mileage you've received on your original equipment tires. There are several factors to consider with regard to tire wear: type of vehicle, driving habits, driving style, geographical location, maintenance, etc.

Michelin Premier LTX

I purchased these for my 2012 Chevy Colorado because of the wet weather traction and wear out warranty being 60,000 miles. Wet weather traction has been great, long term wear not so much, I have almost 20,000 miles and I am almost to replacement time, sorry not good.

Cheyennesport, as previously advised, there is a mileage warranty on your tires. Once the tires are worn out, the selling retailer should be able to initiate a mileage warranty claim based on the mileage you received. Have the dealer give us a call with any questions.
