Easy set up and operates like a charm...

Works well. Hoping the ink system works better than our old ink-dot printer.

Awesome value for a laser printer. Setup with my Windows 10 computer was easy (after I figured out if my software was 32-bit or 64-bit). Print quality is sharp and clear, prints reasonably quickly, and the duplex feature is nice. It's a little loud (sits right next to me), but I don't think is any louder than other printers I have used. The paper tray can be adjusted for letter or legal size (came pre-set for letter), but there's no manual tray if you wanted to print just one page of the other size. This isn't an issue with me since I print 99% on standard letter-size paper.

Owned HL-L2300D for over 5 years. Processed several (10+) cases of Bright White heavy weight printer paper flawlessly. Only benefit to upgrading would be to choose one of the newer models which offer an adjustable LED screen which can be be viewed from either straight on or even below, as I must place the printer/scanner on a shelf at eye level. Must climb up on wheeled chair to view down on fixed upward facing LED screen. Fine for table top, but not for home users with limited desk space.

Machine set up just fine, but two hours and a lot of tears later I realized that the reason my computer wasn't finding the printer was that it was supposed to have some cord that Brother doesn't include because it would be "unnecessary environmental waste." If you've got a printer usb adapter cord in your house already, go for it, but for those of us living in the 21st century, we're going to go buy a wireless printer.

My experience with printers has been extremely frustrating. I am way too old to deal with the intimidation of the computer age much less deal with a printer that works occasionally. I have found in the Brother a printer that just works and is simple enough to for me to operate. The folks that helped me set up were wonderful and I understood every word they said. There was no techie mumbo jumbo. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Susan

This printer makes great copies, however, there is a problem... When making a volume of copies over 20, it frequently stops in the middle of the job. This happens whether we are making one sided copies or utilizing the duplexing features. We must baby sit the machine on large copy jobs, because it requires us to frequently open and close the paper supply door in order for the machine to finish the job. We have tried adjusting the amount of paper in the paper tray and it has had no effect on the machine's operation. Had it not been for this problem the machine would have received a much higher rating, as it does make great quality copies.

I enjoy the ease of use, dependability, and economy of this laser printer. Although monochrome, I find the laser technology more cost efficient than the cartridge technology of other printers where it is necessary to frequently replace the cartridges quite frequently at considerable cost and inconvenience. For a small business, a laser printer is essential and this printer stands out as a winner for me.

This machine cannot stay connected to a WiFi network. I have a beast of a WiFi router and the printer is about 15 feet away. But it just goes to sleep and appears offline. The troubleshooting page has about 10 different solutions. You could spend a couple hours trying them or you may decide that life is short, recite a few choice expletives and do something more productive with your time. My phone stays connected to my wifi. Why can't this printer?
