I'm very careful with what I feed my dog and so, Purina Dog Chow is a safe and healthy diet for my Black Lab. Also, the value is incomparable. I purchase a Fifty pounds. [50 pounds] of food for $22 which buys me at my local stores 22-25lbs. Further surprise was I received my order in just 3days. Fantastic deal at a fantastic price...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My mini-husky has been raised on Purina. There is nothing else he loves better. If it is not Purina Dog Chow - he sniffs and walks away. He is 9 years old, in fact, today is his birthday. He ate some of his Dog Chow this morning and he is waiting patiently for his High Pro Dog Chow can favorite of Hearty Stew sitting on the counter. Special days call for special treats and Purina fulfills that too with canned foods and dog biscuits in many flavors.

My review is that my best friend Goose a Labrador Retriever that I rescued when I was 19 years old as a 3 month old pup. At least thats what I believe. That was close to 15 years ago and its been puppy chow and dog chow since the start. Every time he has ever been to vet they have said hes perfectly healthy. He weighed 103lbs in his prime and currently about 88lbs. They way he is going I will get to have my wing man Goose for years to come and cant help but think purina plays a huge part in both that.

We have been sampling different brands of dog food searching for an adult dog food as they are out of puppy stage. We kept coming back to Purina Dog Chow Complete. They love the flavor and it satisfies their appetites. Purina Dog Chow Complete is a winner for us!

20 years ago, before all the grain free and holistic dog foods appeared, I had a Great Dane that grew up on Purina Dog Chow. He lived 11 years and never had any health issues. 3 yeas ago I got another Great Dane and was sucked in to all the grain free hype. I fed him what I was convinced was better than Purina. First three ingredients were meat, no corn, no grains, etc.... He never looked as good as my first Dane. His bones and muscle didn't develop right and he was gone before he reached 2 years of age. Today I picked up yet another Great Dane puppy. He's going to definitely be a Purina dog from day one!!! Don't buy into the sales pitch of the new "premium" brands. Stay with the company that has cared for dogs for over 80 years. If sweet potatoes and blackberries were truly essential to your dogs health I'm sure the trusted scientist at Purina would have realized that long ago.

I fed my dog "Tough" this food for 14 years. Not once did his blood work come back abnormal and he lived a long healthy life. I have my other two pets on this food as well and again no issues. I have worked for a vets office for 9 years now, and I still choose to purchase this food over the ones we sell at work. Love it!!

It's cold outside, and i keep this food in the car for when i feed dogs in the cold. I choose this over the cheap food and this is reasonably priced. I have found the dogs will not eat the cheapest food in the store. At least this food has vitamins, minerals and it sticks to their stomach better.

My chihuahua has eaten Purina for most of his life. Just back from the veterinarian last week, and a thorough physical complete with blood work can find nothing at all wrong with him. He's bouncy and perky and playful, and as far as modern medicine can determine 100% healthy. The doctor said that "at this rate, we'll be having this same conversation again 5 years from now!". I hope so. My dog is 17 years old.

The reason I'm giving it 3 stars is I bought it because I didn't have a way to RKO and purina is supposed to be a good brand. After having my fur baby on it for a almost a week her stool is still soft. I'm not sure how long it takes for her stomach to adjust. Or if it's just not the right type of dog food. I am happy that purina is helping vets that's just as important.

I always thought our Indy would eat about anything. I found out I was i ncorrect. I changed her to another Purina brand that I thought mught be better for her, she will be 9 years old this summer. I kept looking at her bowl, morning and evening, like I do every day. It didn't seem to be going down. So I filled her bowl to the top . . even with the edge of her bowl. I was right . . nothing was gone out of the bowl for the next three days. So a trip to the grocery. I mixed her Dog Chow in with the other kibble . . . she ate the dog chow . . .and REALLY seemed hungry. But when I looked at her bowl later that night, the other kibble was left while the Dog CHow was gone. This momma learned . . . Dog Chow or Nothing for Miss Indy. By the way, all of the dogs I have had, except 1 who had a pproblem and needed a certain food, have eaten Dog Chow and LOVED it! And our cats eat Cat Chow :)
