The dog, Morgan was given to me when my sin went to college. He became a finicky eater and for days wouldnt to eat anything I fed him and I tried a lot of brands. He finally settled on Purina and his appetite returned and this is the only dog food I give him. He still gets treats and a mixture of table food on rare occasions. For Morgan, it works best and has him trim.

I've had at least 1dog (sometimes a lot more than 1);since I was 9 years old and I'm 68 now. I've always fed them Purina! I had everything from a Pom to a great dame and everything between. All of my babies have been healthy and long lived! To my knowledge Purina has never had a recall. It's the only one I will ever use. As you can see for a 5 year old she still thinks she a puppy

very great product however when you order online for the 47 lb bag they say they don't have it so they add two bags in its place of the small bags my curiosity went up I walked into the store and there goes the big bags that I wanted so I figured they did not want to pick the big bag up so they exch

We like this brand many of our dogs have gas issues like clear the room bad we tried half a dozen different brands in all price ranges and this is the only brand that sits well with all our different dogs we have multiple breeds from shepherd to Great Dane mastiff to pit bull to bulldog to boxer and all of them love it it's our regular food now for them

This cheap dog food gave my dogs diarrhea but that might be bc my dogs are used to the more expensive brands . Bought this twice trying to be cheap and it gave both my dogs diarrhea both times. If you use this food make sure your dog isn't used to the good brands. Pure balance is the dog food I use and it's pricey and healthier.

My dog enjoys this dog food. It is great for the price point and comes in 20 pound bag. I just wish it came with a person to drag it into the house, lol. I placed it in containers and it keeps well, one of my dogs favorite foods. Doesn't smell bad, not for human consumption but not offensive to my nose when feeding my dog.

My father worked at Purina for years when I was a little girl, so I know he says they do have high safety standards. I just don't know abt feeding dogs this everyday. Any dog food with any type of meat “by product” means it can be the unused parts of a cow, chicken, turkey, etc. It could be beaks, feathers, feet, claws, etc. Also, it means they can use diseased animals, roadkill, just unhealthy meat that humans would never be allowed to eat for safety reasons. The meat “meal” like chicken meal or beef meal can be either good or poor quality and this depends on how they are processed and handled. If the protein is damaged then it's not a good source of amino acid for dogs. Unfortunately dog food companies are not required to provide what the source of meal is used. So bcuz of those reasons, I have stopped using any dog food with a protein by product or any protein meal. ONCE I STOPPED DOING THIS MY DOGS WERE HEALTHIER %26 SO MUCH HAPPIER! I switched to an air dried human grade dog kibble called Honest Kitchen. They have several different kinds of food. Also, they are a lot more affordable than you think. If you can't afford to give them high grade food like Honest Kitchen, Sundays or Farmer's dog, at least use as a topper for your dogs. No dog should have to eat the same dry kibble that is over cooked with unhealthy meats %26 meals! DO RIGHT BY YOUR DOG! This food is fine, but only if you use a topper that is high quality. Thanks!

For some reason this is the only dog food my German Shepard can keep down. Every other dog food brand or type results in rashes %26 vomiting. We've tried so many other brands (even vet recommended brands) even other purina types of dog food. This is the only one that works. I'm not knowledgeable about what's in dog food. But I do know, my GS def prefers this one.

I'm pet sitting two dogs: one 40 lb boxer mix and one Yorkie. Both of them get excited at feeding time and generally clear their bowls. They have nice coats, clear eyes and clean white teeth. I'm honestly thinking of switching my little dog to this food.

This is good dog food. The reason I feel prompted to write a review is that I started ordering this dog food from Wal Mart because it was shipped right to my door. I have mobility impairments and door delivery made it possible for me to drag the bags into the house. For some inexplicable reason, they started sending my dog food by USPS! There is no way I can go to the post office, load up the feed, haul it home and unload it! I will be looking for another way to get dog food delivered to my door.
