Quiet, good handling, but only 22K miles

I bought a set of these tires 2 1/2 years ago, and with only 22k miles on them, my Audi dealer just told me I need to replace them before winter, as the tread is down to a 4. I really liked the tires until today. Michelin rates them at 60k miles - and prices them accordingly. Had I known the real lifespan was just over 20k I would have never purchased them.

Terrible Tire Wear

I went into my dealership for my 15,000 service and I was told I would need to replace all 4 tires soon because the tread was so low. I'm not even at 20,000 miles and these tires are basically done! This is ridiculous and the 60,000 mile warranty is a joke. Regular maintenance and rotation and this still happened.

Poor tread life not as advertised!! Very disappointed.

Poor tread life not as advertised!! Very disappointed. 2019 GMC Acadia has these tires came on the vehicle and are advertised to be 60,000 tires 6 years. Have had vehicle since May of 2019 I now have 29,000 miles on the vehicle and my tires are bald! Had one blow out last week and had to replace it of course. A tire should not be wore out and still be anywhere close to factory warranty.. Thought Michelin was still a good name.

Perform Well, Treadlife Poor

The Premiere handle well on turns, brake well, and are great in the rain. However, they're down to 4/32” at 25,000 miles. I can't justify replacing with same unless you're a sporty driver willing to change tires often. Bit disappointed here, as I've been a Michelin customer several times without issue before.

Don't buy - pay attention to the poor reviews

I have to agree with the poor reviews on this website. I bought the LTX Premier for a Lexus RX350. They now have about 36k miles on them. Ever since I hit about 25k, I've been told I need new tires. I refused to do it considering they have a 60k warranty. But now they are at the wear line and I'm forced to buy another set of tires.

LD, we understand how this can be frustrating. Fortunately, there is a mileage warranty. One of our agents will be in touch with you to work through your selling retailer in initiating a warranty claim.

New Tread on an Old ML430

Just had the new Premier LTX (275/55R/17) put on my 99 Benz. These replace a set of Pirelli's that were mounted in May 2015. After driving for over 1,500 miles on the Pirelli tires, I knew they were not for me and back to the dealer to replace. They have a full 30 day guarantee and they honored it with ordering and installing the Michelin's at no additional cost. As soon as I was at the speed limit of 70 mph, I knew right then and there I had made the right choice. Gone was the whining sound from the other tires and the handling improved as well. Everything about the LTX is different from the composition to the tread design, well done!

Failed Expectations

Since the early 1990's, I've always changed my OEM tires to a Michelin tire and always have been very pleased with the quality and performance...always exceeded expected tire life and tread wear always even. I was happy to see that the Premier LTX was OEM to my 2019 Lexus. I am, however, very disappointed that the LTXs underperformed. Small chunks of tire tread were "excavated" mostly on the shoulder treads, front worse than rear...a pattern I've never seen or heard of before. Typical urban driving in panhandle of Florida (with little driving during the COVID years...<28k miles).

28,000 Miles and tires need replacing

I have a 2020 Chevy Equinox. I rotate tires every time I get oil changed. I am a normal average driver who after3 years put 28,000 miles on my car and my tires treads are worn to the point the dealer would not rotate on my 4th oil change stating I must get new tires. That is less than 1/2 of what they are supposed to last. Forget warranty as they just blame it on the way you drive. These are the tires that come with vehicle. The replacement wont be Michelin.

WORST TIRE I'VE EVER OWNED - TERRIBLE ON ICE AND SNOW

These tires came on my wife's Jeep Grand Cherokee. With the pandemic and working from home, I can't speak to the tire life. I will state that they are quiet and grip well on drive pavement. They are okay on wet pavement. And, unfortunately, they are TERRIBLE in snow and icy conditions. I bought winter tires for her Jeep. Night and day difference when driving in winter. I don't recommend them.

MATT, Thanks for taking the time to submit a review. We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the Premier LTX in snow and icy conditions, however all-season tires do have limitations when driving in winter conditions, and winter tires are necessary.

Great choice for my 2014 Escape AWD

My Ford Escape OEM tires were awful in the Winter on snow and ice. I've installed the Premier LTX and have been extremely happy with them. The performance on snow and ice is outstanding! the wet performance is very good as well. I've put 30,000 miles on them and they show minimal wear that is very even. I live in MN and have run these tires in blizzards and -40 temps as well as temps in the 90's and in very heavy rain. I don't pull a trailer or do any real off road driving. And... They look great!
