Great item for a great price!

Small but practical heater plus you cant beat the price. Ive only used it twice so far but it heats well plus its so convenient and easy to move it from room to room. Ive been comparing prices of similar models same brand with other stores and Walmart had it cheaper. I hope it would last long!

Always compare Walmarts online prices to instore.

Works great. I bought a second one for my daughter at college. Remote is a nice feature. Has everything the more expensive one has. Buy online to pick up in store, it's five dollars cheaper. This happens a lot with Walmart products. The remote on the second one didn't work so I just took it back to the store and got another one even though I bought it online.

So far so good.

I don't normally review products so this isn't going to be extremely detailed but I purchased this space heater for ~$50 from Walmart and the Walmart experience met expectations. The heater is working as advertises and delivers a proper amount of heat. It has automatic temperature sensors and oscillation to spread the heat around. It has LO and HI settings and the unit hasn't caught on fire or caused any fires. It's not too noisy (pretty quite, actually) and it looks kind of sleek, too. The only reason I gave it a 4/5 instead of a 5/5 is because I've noticed some odd flickering of lights since using this item. I'm not an electrician but I talked to one and he said that this can happen because space heaters are high-resistance electrical devices and advised that only one ceramic heater should be on one breaker in your house. I have a small apartment and I don't have any other heaters or other high-resistance devices on this circuit. My apartment is apart of a fairly modern building so I'm not sure if it is an defect of the heater drawing too much power or my electrical layout.

electrical smell for 20 hours not acceptable

This is a nice small heater w/ some good features. I would have given it four stars except I had to initially run the heater in my garage w/ the door open for about 20 hours to rid the unit of the obnoxious electrical smell. I called Lasko and the customer service dept. is not available because of the virus, (really so many other manufacturers customer service dept's are working remotely). So I conversed w/ them via chat. The chat says the smell is normal w/ a new heater and it should take a few hours on high heat. Well that was not correct as my unit spent 20 hours running.

Overall very satisfied. Pros: Like the Oscillation feature. Helps tremendously in dispersing the heat. The remote control is extremely helpful so you don't have to get up and go over to the unit itself to either activate it or make setting adjustments. Easy to use. Cons: For a 1500 watt rating I did think it would put out more heat at the "High" Setting. But it does warm up a fairly large room. Just not as fast as I anticipated. My old 1200 watt ceramic heater does it just as well. Only one fan speed. Knew that when I bought it but wished it had a lower level so I could reduce the fan speed; and consequently the noise level and still have heat emitting from unit. But the one speed noise level is still acceptable. The visual display on the unit needs to be a little more slanted to the front. It's fine if you are making or adjusting the settings at the unit itself. But if you are using the remote while sitting from it across the room, it is hard to see the display since it is aimed more "up" than forward. Other reviews have commented on the inaccuracy of the temperature setting displayed, which I found to be the case as well. But it isn't that big a deal. When I first start the unit, I just let it stay on the high setting and once the room temperature reaches a comfortable level, I reduce the temperature display setting to where the unit cuts off. It will than retain that setting regardless of what it display as the temperature.

DON'T run this on HIGH!

Negative: Nice ONLY if you keep it on LOW. If you use HIGH, the cord gets HOT! This is a FIRE DANGER people! Esp. when the instructions say to unplug it when done using it.... Why not make this with an appropriate cord that can take the wattage/heat?! Useless to have a remote when you have to unplug this anyway... Is mine a fluke? I don't know, but because of these reasons, I would not recommend. Positive: I like the slim size and quietness when it runs.

So far, So good. Pleased

This little heater meets expectations so far. As other reviewers have stated, it would be wonderful if the remote had some type of color coding for at least, the on/off button. We have only used for a few weeks and the winter hasn't really set in yet but our limited experiences have shown that we will be happy with this product, especially in bedroom sized rooms.

Great space heater for the price.

I purchased this heater to replace a more expensive infrared heater I had tried for a small porch space I needed supplemental heat in. The infrared heater did not do the job and cost more than 5 times what this Lasko heater cost. The Lasko seems very effecient, is reasonably quite and so far has met my expectations for heating this space.

heat regulation is great on this unit

Easy set up, just out of the box and turned it on. after reading the booklet, there's an eco button to cycle on and off the heater. The heat regulation is great. great price on black Friday so i bought 2 more after this one shipped but i probably would've bought one at regular price after the first sale priced. warm house! yay!

light weight and easy to use.

The Lasko 1500W Oscillating Ceramic Tower Space Heater with Remote is light weight, easy to use, and takes up a small space. Gives off a lot of heat. I turn it on in the morning, use the oscillating and within a few minutes the area is nice and warm. Using the remote is just as easy.
