I was gifted a earlier version of model 5538 a few years ago. That heater was used all winter long and kept me warm and comfortable. I purchased this version of model 5388 and it was everything and more compared to my old heater. The controls have been updated and have more options. The remote control is convenient. This heater is whisper quiet. All this and it was delivered in less than 40 hours.

This space heater is great. I love that you can set the temp and the remote is nice to have, especially at night. It oscillates well and was able to heat our large master bedroom in about 20 mins. My old space heater had me always getting up in the middle of the night cos it was either too hot or too cold. It's worth it to spend the extra $10 to $20 because the $30 to $40 space heaters have less functions. The only minor con for me is that the slot you use to carry or move the heater wasn't designed well, so it's kinda hard to move and I dropped it a coupla times.

I purchased this heater for the "man cave" in our basement which is just under 400 square feet because I am always a little cold whenever I'm down there. It does a very nice job of warming up the space without it becoming unbearable. I like that it oscillates and has a remote and digital thermostat. I might have wanted something a little more attractive, not that this is ugly, but for the price, I don't think I could beat it. Now if only I can get one for my living room area with vaulted ceiling and tons of windows!

I agree with Dennis' comment . To move it to another room, you have to pick it up like an awkward rolled up carpet. The insert or cut out behind the unit is a space for inserting four fingertips and is like putting a hard disc into a Tandy computer! For those that don't know what that is, basically you're SOL with an inch thick and nothing inside there to grip on. PROS: ECO setting, quiet as can be, heats up an 11x12 bedroom with ease. I like moving it around though! Spread the wealth and I'm thinking about supergluing a loop of some sort on the back. Lasso has a great reputation as far as good brands. I have a fan by lasso and it's up there in quality to a Dyson. CONS: no tipover safety, third party seller so if you don't like it or something goes wrong, you better decide in less than 30 days. Amazon might be $10 more but if someone mentioned it broke after 3 months? Then I'm Kind of hesitant especially with newer models of the same brand. I didn't realize that I purchased this on Walmart..so I'm crossing my fingers. My last space heater was a louder oscillating heat

I LOVE MY LASKO AUSELATING HEATER!! This one is just like a tall one I've had for years, and it's going strong. This one is a mini model, but has been working like a charm. Lasko is my favorite brand. After owning Lasko fans that have lasted YEARS, I trust this brand to give me value for my money!!

I use the heater in my room 24 x 15 foot and it heats amazingly! The temperature control and remote are great for physically turning it off in the night with changing controls. Great product and recommend for any room in the home. I live in an high altitude cold location and winters are very cold with heavy snow fall. Arizona Snowbowl Ski Resort is near so it has to work through the cold.

I really like this heater. I had an older model I bought many years ago that just got zapped by a power surge. My only complaint is that I wish it would remember the setting when turned off and back on. I would like to set to temp to 70 and have it go back to 70 each time I turned it on.

Honestly a great purchase, I was skeptical about it at first but I'm so glad I bought this during the Black Friday sale. If you can catch it on sale buy it, it warms up my room quick af and it has a temp setting so it cuts off once its warmed up the room to your desired setting. It also comes with a remote which is nice and the buttons on the actual heater are pretty simple. Its not loud but the sound is noticeable but thats because it does have a fan in it but I don't mind the noise at all.

I got this after our Bionaire micathermic heater started failing. The Lasko just wasn't able to get the entryway of our old, drafty house any warmer than 67 on its max setting. Now we just use it in the kid's bedroom and it seems to work much better. Makes really loud beeps with every button press, which is kind of annoying.

Kinda complicated to use it at first. Not sure if it turns on the middle of the night. I bought for The one room is always cold or super hot. Omg those rooms ! I checked in my Nest app and so far it stays on the temperature I set up and my son hasn't waking up so that means it's good
