I am very satisfied with my Michelin Defender tires. They hold the road very well. We have had a very rainy season this year. Some roads and highways are prone to flooding. While driving on the highway, in very heavy down pours, my car holds the road very well. Even though it was difficult to see through the wind shield, I felt very much in control of my vehicle due to the performance of these tires. The only drawback to these tires are they are a little noisy. I can hear a roaring sound when traveling at high speeds. A nice trade off though since I am confident my tires are keeping their traction under extreme road conditions.

After much research and reviews from Consumer Reports I saved and purchased my new set of tires. My 2008 CRV had 80,000 and this was the 2nd set of replacement tires I had to purchase. Not only does my ride feel so much smoother, the inside cabin noise is reduced significantly. I had no idea my car could ride this well, even the factory original tires when I purchased the car new did not ride as efficiently and quietly as the Defender tires. This was the first set of Michelin tires I have ever purchased, and I will never buy another brand of tire again. I am a customer for life!

I just put 4 new Defender Tires (225/50 R17) on my car. I drive a lot of miles each year for work, so the estimated 90K mileage life was very appealing and one of my decision factors. Just as importantly, we recently had quite a bit of snow and ice here in the North East (NY/NJ) and these tires dug in and went through 5"-6" of snow with no problems at all, no dramatic tire spinning to get moving forward from a stop, great handling (no slidding around). Same on black ice, very well controlled. Very reassuring and what I expect from Michelin tires. Dry handling and quite ride? Just as impressive. I cruise at anywhere from 60 Mph to 80+Mph on the way to and from work. There is no tire noise from the treads and the ride / handling is smooth and quite. In fact, I got cut off by someone pulling out of their lane right in front of me and I had to do an emergency high speed swerve to keep from hitting them. My car just handled like it was on rails! I went around the other guy and back into my lane with no problems at all. If you like Michelin Pilots (another great tire that I have had on my many cars), I think you should give Defender a try. In my experience, both are good on dry pavement, snow and emergency handling - the decision maker (for me) is the extra 40,000 miles you get out of a set of 4 Defenders(provided you take care of them properly of course!) We are very pleased with these tires. We have used Michelin Tires in the past, and living in the mountains of NC, they outlast any other tires we have ever had. We feel like they are worth the cost because of their performance and long lasting nature!

After 8 yrs of the brand that came with our cruzer we are finally totally satisfied with our new defenders. The car feels like a new car, rides like a dream. Every time we get in the car its like a new gift. after all the problems we had with our old sets of tires. On top of that we upgraded.to nitrogen instead of air. one totally satisfied customer!

I have been buying Michelin tires for 45 years, and I've never had a bad one. I have them on all of my vehicles (motorhome, 2 cars, pickup) and my airplane. When my dealer told me that my last set for my mini-SUV were guaranteed for 80,000 miles but would likely last 85,000 miles, my thought was, "yeah, sure, who are you kidding?" He was wrong--they only lasted 82,000 miles and still had plenty of safe tread. So when he put the new Defenders on my SUV 10,000 miles ago, we joked that they'd probably last 100,000 miles, although they have only a 90,000 mile guarantee. Since the car already has 124,000 miles on it, I will probably trade it before I'll know how long they will last, but whoever buys my car later, whether it's next year or 3 years from now, will still have a good set of tires on it. So far, they are perfect, quiet, comfortable, with excellent traction. I would expect nothing less from Michelin.

These tires are excellent. Just replaced the OE Conti's on my 2011 Honda CRV that wore out way before my three year lease was even up. The 90,000 warranty is above and beyond what other competitors have -- Michelin's really putting their money where there mouth is.

I bought the Defenders before I drove cross country this summer and found that they were the best tires that I have had for a long time. The handling and ride were excellent. I had no problem with the rain and I noticed a significant improvement in braking distance.

My Michelin tires are the smoothest, most comfortable ride that I have ever had in a car. They really hug the road and have fantastic traction in all weather and driving conditions. I would recommend Michelin tires to anyone. Prior to getting Michelin tires my car had horrible traction in ice and snow, and rode pretty roughly on city streets. I used to feel every bump in the road. Now, I have an awesome driving experience and am not dreading winter weather. My car even handles better and brakes much quicker.

HAVE OVER 6000 MILES ON TIRES THEY SEEM TO BE WEARING OK SO FAR. USED THEM IN SNOW AND RAIN GOOD THEIR BUT THEY MAKE LOT OF ROAD NOISE. WILL NOT BUY TWO MORE I ALL WAYS HAD GOOD LUCK WITH MICHELIN AND STILL THINK THEY ARE A GOOD COMPANY. THE DEFENDER IS JUST TO NOISY.fIRST I THOUGH IS WAS WHEEL BEARING OR DRIVE SHAFT BUT NO IT CAME BACK TO THE TIRES. THEY ARE NOT MORE PRICEY ER THEN MOST BRANDS BUT STILL A GOOD -NOISY TIRE. SO I WILL NOT FALL A SLEEP WITH THEM THAT'S FOR SURE.
