Great So Far!!

Just bought a set Defenders for my Honda Civic. I am very impressed with the handling and quietness of the tires. My stopping power also increased substantially. A HUGE HUGE difference over the previous set of tires. Glad I paid the extra $. Haven't had them long enough to assess improvement in mileage or decreased wear. Still waiting for some precipitation to see how they handle wet roads. So far, I love them!

Defender Review

I drive nearly 100 miles a day to work and back in north central Michigan in all types of weather. I currently have a set of Michellen Defenders on my Imapla and my Accord. From -30 below zero to +100 above zero, snow, sleet, ice, rain, you name it, I'm driving in it. I've used other manufacturer's tires in the past but they didn't compare to the quality or longevity that I get with Michellen. I've been a Michellen tire owner for over 12 years. The last 2 sets of Michellen tires I bought gave me over 75,000 worry free miles of use, each. I get my tires rotated on a regular basis and I talk to the crew that does the work and they agree. Michellen tires are the tires you can trust. If you want a dependable, good looking tire that gives you a quiet ride, in all types of weather, that lasts and lasts, you want Michellen tires, PERIOD!

Michelin Tires are the Best

My car from the bad winter and pot holes wanted to take a right turn if you let go of the wheel. It was vibrating and found out I had a bubble and split in one of my old tires another major brand that came on the car when I bought it in 2011. I had purchased these tires one time before but they just don't wear and hold up like the Michelins. I think they are the best tires on the market and worth the money. My car drives straight down the road now and ride is very comfortable. Thanks Michelin!

Resting Easy

I am totally happy with the Michelin Defender tires I purchased over a year ago. They were mounted on my son's car, which he uses for his pizza delivery job. Having Michelins on his car means I can rest a little easier while he is driving around town at night and the weather is bad.

Defenders for my Sienna and Corolla

In the last couple of months I replaced tires on both our 2005 Sienna and 1999 Corolla with defenders. So far, they seem to be doing a good job. In the NorthEast, we already hit many bad weather days and I had no issues or complaints so far. However, MPG went down by 4 miles in our Sienna. Time will tell how well they do in their second to fourth years.

Great Upgrade!

These were purchased as a replacement tire for a CUV. Originally, I planned to purchase the same tire that was on the vehicle. Due to availability issues and per the recomendation of the sales associate, I agreed to purchase the Michelin Defender. All I can say is that I am happy the dealer did not have the "other tire" available. These Michelins have been great in all weather conditions, including snow. They seem to have a better ride than the previous tire and the best part is they are incredibly quiet compared to my previous tires. I thought that there may have been mechanical issues with the vehicle, when in reality I just had very noisy tires. The 90.000 mile warranty was also a selling point for the Michelin since I typically keep a vehicle for at least 200,000 miles.

Dependable

I own a 2009 Subaru which up until recently still had its original tires. A mechanic told me they'd need to be replaced and that they stocked a different brand of tires. I told him to hold off because I wanted to check to see what Michelin offered. They have a solid name and reputation, and I felt better with a reliable brand that I'd heard of. I subscribe to Consumer Reports so it was easy to look up and do a comparison. Defenders came out on top, and the brand my mechanic stocked had several complaints. So I called the mechanic back and asked him to put Michelins on. It was great having new tires. I could feel the difference the minute I drove away from the garage.

Defenders saved my life!

Very simple...Defenders saved my life. The car was sliding all over in Chicago's winter ice and snow with the original tires. Now, I stop readily with no sliding danger. Mileage is better with a smooth ride. Thanks Michilin.....no more fear of driving in bad weather.

What a value - even 90,000 miles later!

I do a lot of driving during the week and this tire makes me feel at ease. Not only for the way it handles on the road, but the way it handles in the rain and snow. I've been keeping track every 5,000 miles and the wear is right on target. I would not only be purchasing another set, but will recommend this to anyone. Michelin Defender is the tire you can depend on today, as well as tomorrow.

Cross Country w/ PopUp Camper in-tow

Last summer (2012), I purchased 4 new Michelin Defenders for my 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan. This was for my cross country drive for my new military assignment. I drove from Charleston, SC to San Diego, CA then shipped the vehicle to Honolulu, HI. I towed a pop up camper with the mission of my family and I stopping at every National Park we could find along the way. My wife and I have four kids all under 12, so we had to have dependable equipment to keep us safe on our journey. The Dreputation of Michelin and the review of the Defender tire gave us confidence that our 3000+ mile drive would go well. And it did. With a tow, we drove thru rain, mountain, and desert with precision handling, comfortable ride, low noise, and strong foundation. The tread continues to wear well one year later in my new tropical climate. Great trip. Great tire.
