I live in Illinois. regrettably. Since I must, I drive a Subaru, and the tires need to cleat the ice/snow very well in order for my utter survival. I hate noise, and tires that usually act as snow tires seem to make a tank noise. Not so with my Defenders. I'm loyal. This brand is all I will ever use.

I drive a Volkswagon Passat and I love my Michelin Defender tires. They ride smoothly with minimal road noise. They are wearing properly with routine rotations and I'm glad to know they are lasting longer than other brands. I will only put Michelin Defenders on my car! I feel safe that they are dependable and durable.

Replaced my Michelin Primacy MXV4 tires with the Defenders on my Merc-S. Its been 4000 miles since I replaced the tires. Was a little skeptical that I may be compromising on the ride and noise for the extra mileage the Defender tires offer. But to my pleasant surprise and liking none of that has been impacted. The ride is very quite as with Michelin Primacys. The real test is going to be in the snow weather which seems to be coming to our part of the country shortly. Will keep updating the site with my experiences over the seasons and increased mileage on the tires.

Investing in tires in a tough economy was a hard choice. but when we got directed to the defender tires it was an eye opener. Not only were they competively priced vs. other brands, we were assured we were putting on the best tires the market has to offer. We now have peace of mind we invested our money correctly and feel safe on the road not having to worry about tires. They are way smooth riding and gave our car better handling than we were used to. it's like having bought a whole new different car. thank you so much !

I have driven 25,000 on the product with my car. My 2nd season of winter driving in all types of snow conditions, never got stuck once. Best rain tire I ever had, never feel any hydro plaining, on the expressway, local and city streets. The fastest braking tire, on snow and rain. Durability, ran over a bolt, drove home had the tire fixed the next day, the tire never went flat. I really don't have anything negative about the tire, I still get up to 50mpg in the summer and 42mpg in the dead of winter, which prove they are really a low roll resistant tire. Quietest tire i.e..road noise I have ever owned.

Since I work in a tire store I always recommend Michelin Tires. I have tried different tires in the past but have found that nothing compares to Michelin. It is the smoothest riding tires I have ever owned. Best tire made on the planet . Nothing comes close.

Put the defenders on my wife's solara and was pleased. Bought a set for my Malibu. What an improvement over the factory LS2's. No slipping on wet roads and I can actually drive in the snow and get somewhere. Great tires. Will probably put them on our 2011 jeep compass sometime this upcoming summer. Have never been happier with a set of tires as much as I am with these. Way to go Michelin.

Purchased a used car that came with newer tires but was preparing for a trip to Florida from Virginia and wanted better wet weather traction than these were providing. Replaced tires with the Defender. While these were more expensive then other brands my past experience with Michelin led me to make the purchase. I took the used tires to a local used tire shop to try to get some cash back. These guys usually give m a hard time about not buying from them but when the owner saw what tires I had on the car he got excited, called his assistant over and said "Take a look at these tires! These are the Michelin Defenders. They're the best tire you can put on your car!" With that, I confidently took the family on a 2,500 mile round trip of the south and through some monsoon like downpours and never lost traction as well as experienced decreased road noise compared to the previous tires. I continue to be impressed with the Michelin product.

My car from the bad winter and pot holes wanted to take a right turn if you let go of the wheel. It was vibrating and found out I had a bubble and split in one of my old tires another major brand that came on the car when I bought it in 2011. I had purchased these tires one time before but they just don't wear and hold up like the Michelins. I think they are the best tires on the market and worth the money. My car drives straight down the road now and ride is very comfortable. Thanks Michelin!

I recently put a set of Michelin Defenders on my 2004 Hyundai Accent and another set on my 2008 Mercury Sable. I have owned lots of different tires in my 50 years of driving. So far, these are the best--hold the road well, smooth, not noisey, corner well, just excellent tires and a great warranty. I will only buy Michelins from now on. Now, you do need to know I have about 6,000 miles on one set and 4,000 miles on the other, so I am saying "so far" the tires are excellent.
