This is my second set of Michelin tires on my 2006 Honda Oddysey with continued great results. With grandparents 4 states away, we drive over rivers and through the woods and a lot of weather twice a year to see them. I also am taxi mom for 3 kids, so I put about 20,000 miles a year on my tires. I want to be safe, enjoy my time in the car (since I'm in it a lot), and feel confident that my tires will get me where I need to go, go, go. Michelin gets me there.

I have these on my mini van that I drive endlessly every day. With all the hills curves potholes and things in the road that I cannot avoid. These tires have stood the test of time so far. As long as they get their regular rotate and balance, they are great tires. I wish they were a little more plush for a more quiet and softer ride, but then they would not last as long.

Purchased the Defenders to replace the Michelin LX4 Energy's that came with my car.. MAJOR difference in handling, ride and noise.. the Defenders are far superior to the LX4's... The handling is considerably more crisp.. I've only put a couple hundred miles on them so far so I don't have a clue as to duribility yet... and I haven't had the chance to experience them in snow yet but I'm sure they wont dissapoint me there either.. very sharp looking tire too.. they have a different visual profile as compared to the LX4's.. these look bigger, but are the same size as what they replaced.. just an all around great tire that I feel safe with.

It is the quality that one should expect. From the moment the tires were on the car, the ride was excellent. As with most of my purchases, I research the product first. As usual, Michelen tires are the top of the line. I always remember that my family will be riding in the car and want them to be safe as possible. They are a tad expensive, but you get what you pay for. I always recommend Michelen to anyone who asks my opinion.

I bought Defender tires as a replacement on my Nissan LEAF. Low Rolling Resistance is the most important factor to me to maximize the driving range of my battery. Bottom line...I took them back after a week. While they had a nice ride and good handling, the fuel economy was totally unsatisfactory for this car. I swapped them out for the Primacy MXV4 and am very pleased with how they roll. If you want a long-lasting tire with a nice ride and handling, and are not too concerned with fuel economy, then the Defender is a good choice. Otherwise, go with the MXV4. In trying to research why I took such a hit to my range, I found on the Michelinman website where it lists the Defender's fuel economy as 8/10. The Primacy MXV4 is a 10/10.

Lasted 30,000 miles verses 90,000 miles warranty. Didn't expect the tires to last 90,000 miles but did expect the tires to last more than 30,000 miles. Had to replace them.They did prorate them but that's an expense I can't afford. The road noise is really BAD

This tire was installed on my Prius hybrid. It has much better wear characteristics than the previous tires. I continue to get very good gas mileage.I have had no problems with these tires. I wrote this review in response to an invitation for a lottery to get an Ipad.

As a mom, having an infant can be hard to trust my tires to just any company. However, since purchasing my Michelin Defender tires, I have had the utmost conidence in their handling and braking performance in any type of weather. I am very pleased with my purchase and consider myself as a lifetime Michelin owner.

Just purchased these tires a few days ago "Defender", about 100 miles on them. First time I drove in the rain "today", was very impressed at the difference compared to the OME tires compared to my defenders. It was like day light and dark, do not think I could have made a better choice.. I feel very satisfied with my purchase. Michelin has hit this one out of the park. A very good tire.

I got Michelin Defender tires installed on my 2004 Accord last year. It has been about 5000 miles now and they have been serving me well. In fact, oftentimes I would say they saved my life or saved me from an accident report. The difference was noticeable right away as my mechanic accompanied me for a test drive; in comparison to my former tires, it felt like I was gliding on air. The handling and acceleration/deceleration improved. Most importantly it fixed my car's problem of drifting to one side - it now drove firmly straight. Quality tires have low tire noise and these Michelins are so quiet compared to my old ones. In terms of safety, Michelin Defender tires have literally been "defending" me. The difference in stopping distance has been very noticeable. I can recall plenty of times where on the highway and on the streets I had to slam my brakes in response to some precarious driver and I don't know if I would have stopped short enough if it wasn't for these tires. They handle really well in harsh weather conditions and in the harsh winter we had I never once got stuck slipping through snow. There is an appreciable difference when it comes to hydro-treading; with the old tires the car would get pulled in strongly toward the side where the puddles were on a highway, and with Michelin Defender the car resists that pull and has a greater tendency to keep going straight. I am very satisfied with my tires and look forward to them lasting me the advertised 90,000 miles. Plus, all my friends think that these tires look really attractive and sporty with my rims.
