On the road, on a long family trip, I can trust my Michelin Defender tires to keep our family safe from mishaps of the road and weather conditions. I feel confident as I am cruising down the open highway. This is my second time around I have purchased Michelin tires for my two new vehicles. I feel confident in the Michelin tires performance and I would highly recommend it, especially for families with children.

I was looking for a tire providing stability and longevity. I am not a car expert and I view the car (and parts) they serve me not the reverse. Obviously I had other tires before but never a Michelin. I did not expect anything much to change and actually had no idea that the commercials had real meaning as most exaggerate. In this case, they indeed made a difference: "the right tires changed everything". I realize I am not too scientific, but I took the time to write because I honestly was able to tell a difference and the rides feel that good. These tires have made the driving secure on an aging car, I had no issues in the rain and the stopping distance has improved. It's been a year since the purchase. They still make me feel I have a "new" car.

Replaced my wife's Michelin tires with the new Michelin Defender tires. While they are excellent at holding the road, they do offer more drag than the previous Michelin tires resulting in less miles per gallon. They are comfortable due to being softer than the previous Michelin tires. The road noise is about the same. Certainly stops much better.

Bought a set of Defender tires 3 months ago for my 2008 Ford Taurus-X. Best tires I have ever owned (other than Michelin Hydro-Edge I had on my 2000 Ford Windstar) The ride smooth, handle great, and as advertised I can notice that they stop faster than other tires. In a panic stop you can feel the controlled stoping power. Also great handling in the rain and sloppy weather. Again best tires I ever owned, and would definately purchase again.

The Defender tires where installed on my wifes Subaru Outback. Within minutes of leaving the tire shop I was impressed. We have had these tires for about 10,000 miles and I have no complaints. We have seen improvements in handling and traction. I will buy another set of these next time. They are a little costly but you get what you pay for.

I use Defender tires daily to commute to the Bronx, NY from a suburban area. They are durable, reliable and require little to no maintainance.Roughly every six weeks to two months I check the air and add as needed. which is usually not much. A couple of times I have gotten glass stuck in the tires. The good thing is they are so tough that it becomes noticable, but not completely flat. So I am able to get the tire repaired before I have a flat on the road. As a female, this makes my life easy as I do not have to worry about changing flats. In all honest, I do not have any negatives with these tires. I get 50,000 mileage out of new Michelin tires and always buy this brand.

We needed to replace original set of tires on our Prius. These Defenders feel so much better! We drive the highway primarily and put on miles quickly. We don't worry about tires gripping the road in the rain any longer. Also didn't notice any difference in fuel efficiency -- possibly only one mile less per gallon.

Just returned from 900 mile 6 day trip begun in very heavy rain driving I95 from MD to NYC, followed by extensive CT driving and side trip into MA with great weather. Tires provided both a very safe and very comfortable ride throughout our total driving times.

I have these tires on my 2001 Ford Mustang GT. As you know this is a rear wheel drive car. I have tested the traction in the rain by taking turns quickly and I don't even slip. I love these tires. I do most of my driving on the highway and it's one of the smoothest rides I've ever felt. It was a little extra money than I wanted to spend, but I am so glad I spent the money. SO WORTH IT!

I own an all-wheel-drive Honda CRV. It's a great suv, but it's not easy on tires. I've always used Michelin. They've always been dependable, but this new Defender is the best ever. It has excellent road grip, wet or dry, quiet on all types of pavement, and it is as smooth as riding on a velvet carpet. This tire is the best one yet. Give it a 5+.
