Michelin Defender - 225/65R16 100T

Seems to be a good tire. I have about 7,000 miles on the tires. Tread still looks almost new - very little wear.

Looking for quiet, better gas milage, great riding, better handling and so far OK. Now, we will see how they do in the snow. Going sking today. rcl

At first, I was hesitant about how tires with a high mileage rating would ride. You really can have the best of both worlds!

I have had the the Defenders for less than a week but I always used Michelin tires on my cars and have been very satisfied!!

Very disappointed with these tires. I'm used to driving with winter tires which are normally somewhat noisy.  I had the defender tires installed for the summer and I cannot hear the radio now.  Everyone that rides in my car comments and asks what is that noise.  Checking out other reviews and noticed others also commenting about the noise, but it does not seem to be a common theme.  Not sure what is the problem with the set of Michelin's I have.

After 71,000 miles of highway driving on my 2014 truck, I opted for the next size up because the tire shop did not have my factory size. The Michelin Defender is a fantastic tire for better traction, ride comfort, road noise and looks. Only time will tell on how long they last. They don't squeal in tight turns or slip on take off from a stop like my factory tires did. I should have ordered the factory size because I immediately noticed a little over 1 mile per gallon drop in mileage because the computer sensed the resistance from the taller tires and is in 8 cylinder mode more often than before.
