the defender tires are a replacement for my factory tires that came on my 2011 Malibu,as I was unhappy with the ride and handing of the factory tires. I have owned Michelin tires in the past and have always been pleased with them. The Defender series is no exception the tires handle well in all weather and have improved the comfort of my ride tremendously. i would definitely buy these tires again. When i buy my next GM car i will not drive it off the lot until they replace the factory tires with Michelin tires

I had Defenders installed on my 2010 Sienna van to replace the OEM tires. Inflated them to the car's specified 35 lbs. (Beware. Tire intstallers often under inflate.) The Defenders are rated 100 lbs more load capacity than my OEM tires! (Same size tire.) I've put 2000 miles on them. They are smooth riding, quiet, and the car handles fine. Not enough time to review breaking and tread life.

I've been to Maine, Spain, Spokane, Adiac, Kodiac three times around the world, two hog killing and a bannie rooster race all on the Michelin Defender tires. Might have exagerated a bit on the opening statement, but this is the best tire on the market, great performance and smooth ride. Have had the tires over a year, no sign of significant wear. Would recommend highly.

I bought these tires in September 2013 for my 2011 Subaru Outback based on the positive reviews and consumer reports recommendation. This is an outstanding tire and has been recently tested in wet weather, as well as the first snowstorm for 2014 in Massachusetts. The tires performed exceptionally well in both wet and snowy weather (especially the snow since the roads had not been plowed in my neighborhood). The ride is smooth and I don't notice noise when driving. They handle turns quite well in all weather conditions. The true test will come soon since the snow is melting and a cold night is forecasted which equates to icy roads for the morning commute.

I had new tires from a major brand on my used Odyssey when I bought it a year ago. Nice to have new tires, I thought. But a few months ago I started having trouble with front end shimmy, steering wheel shaking, vibration at many speeds, and I thought the front end was going out. But a mechanic showed me that a tire was "bad." I took it to tire dealer who replaced it for free. The steel belt was shifting. All tires were at least 1.5 oz off balance. After three rebalances, lasting as little as three days, I got frustrated... If I can't drive three days without rebalancing tires something's wrong. So I replaced all four with the best tires I know of, Michelin. Then drove 2000 miles in a few days and the Michelins were perfect. I expect them to stay so for their warranty period, 90,000 miles, like all my other Michelins over the years. They are more expensive but definitely worth it, for peace of mind. Good tires are cheap insurance. These are great in ice and snow in Wyoming and Colorado.

I BOUGHT THESE TIRES FOR MY 1986 MERCEDES-BENZ 300SDL. THE CAR CURRENTLY HAS 187,571 MILES ON IT . I PLAN ON DRIVING IT TO 1 MILLION MILES. I BOUGHT THE MICHELIN'S BECAUSE I KNOW THAT THEY WILL LAST. I AM ALSO VERY PLEASE WITH THE QUIETNESS OF THESE TIRES AND THE SMOOTH RIDE. NOTHING BUT THE THE BEST FOR THE BENZIE! IWILL REPORT BACK AFTER ANOTHER 90K MILES ON THE NEW TIRES THANKS

Great tire,smooth driving.Sometimes i feel i am riding on air.The defender goes through water,like the roads were dry.Stopping is great.I am very safe with these tires.When i drive on the highway which the limit is 65 mph the passegers tell me i feel that i am sitting on my recliners at home.Thats how great these tires are.I have recommended these tires to many people.Thank you Michelin for a great Tire.

I am not a stranger to Michelin Tires. I have owned them in the past. Nothing else compares to the quality and service you get from a Michelin tire. I replaced most of my front end before I figured out the new tires I bought from a giant retailer were not worth placing on my truck, I bought another new set that were an upgrade and still had really bad shaking, I had them balanced and hard road tested and was told the shaking was due to the poor quality tires. I bought a new set of Michelin tires, you guessed it no shaking at all. I could have saved myself a lot of money and grief by buying Michelins to begin with.

Although I am retired, I drive every day sometimes hundreds of miles. My Defenders are reliable always providing a smooth ride even in the rain. Safety is very important to me; I always feel safe in my Defenders. They have never let me down not even when I've had to slam on the breaks or drive in a heavy downpour. They also perform well on dirt roads. I will definitely buy Michelins again.

My 2011 Hyundai Elantra is very well maintained. Tires were purchased brand new in June 2014. They were rotated every 6,000 km and the cold tire pressure was checked and adjusted, as needed, one per month. After 47,000 km driven, my tires are already down to 4.5 mm of remaining tread on the front tires and 3.09 mm of remaining tread on the rear tires. I will not buy these tires again since they're not worth the premium cost.
