Excellent Tire is Quiet and Holds Road

The used car I purchased had tires that were only two years old but already had dry rot so I needed all four tires replaced. I commute 150 miles every day so I needed something safe and reliable that would wear well. I also wanted a tire that sheds water well, since when it does rain here in Texas, it tends to rain a lot, and roads can get real slick. I've had my new tires for a few of months now, and have seen extremes in heat and rain. My car now handles beautifully and really hugs the road. These tires are very quiet and give a smooth ride, and I love the fact that they make the car feel very safe. Even though my car is large, it handles extremely well. I love these tires and would highly recommend them. Going with a top of the line tire is well worth the extra cost. Think about all the things that could go wrong if your tires fail you when you're cruising along the highway! Don't take chances and get the best tire you can possibly afford. I'm so glad I did. Oh, and I'm glad you brought up mileage, because I actually noticed that my mileage went up from 21.4 to 24 MPG after getting the tires!

GREAT TIRE

I purchased a set of four tires for my wife's 08 Honda Civic knowing the Michelin reputation of being the best. We haven't been disappointed. Very comfortable ride and wonderful all weather handling. She commutes 60 miles a day to work and I'm comfortable that we chose the perfect tire.

Defender is great

I have a Honda Odyssey minivan and the Defender tires provide great traction. I have had several instances where I have had to stop quickly and they really provide firm halting of the vehicle. During rainy conditions, they hug the road with solid control and no slipping. I am very happy with these tires.

Best in Handling

Previously having excellent experience with X-One and Hydroedge, I decided to try the new Defender. It is the ultimate in tire technology for a touring sedan. The handling and roadfeel is superb. Even with a heavyweight sedan like Buick LeSabre, the cornerings are well balanced. Traction, braking and lane changing performance is exceptional with these Defender tires.

Great Product, love them

I bought these tires to replace other Michelin tires that done well by me and my Honda CR-V but had now worn out & been discontinued. I love these tires. I live down a dirt road and use my CR-V for all types of road driving and weather conditions. These tires seem to hold the road more securely and smoothly than others I've had and the most surprising feature was that they cut down on road noise inside my vehicle. That was a noticable difference even to my friends who also have a CR-V. They were driving on the same type tires that I had before and now because of my experience with these Defenders, they aren't even going to shop around when it is time to replace their tires. They already know they want these too. This is a great product and they keep me going everywhere I want to go and make the ride enjoyable.

Quality tires that you can rely on.

I got Michelin Defender tires installed on my 2004 Accord last year. It has been about 5000 miles now and they have been serving me well. In fact, oftentimes I would say they saved my life or saved me from an accident report. The difference was noticeable right away as my mechanic accompanied me for a test drive; in comparison to my former tires, it felt like I was gliding on air. The handling and acceleration/deceleration improved. Most importantly it fixed my car's problem of drifting to one side - it now drove firmly straight. Quality tires have low tire noise and these Michelins are so quiet compared to my old ones. In terms of safety, Michelin Defender tires have literally been "defending" me. The difference in stopping distance has been very noticeable. I can recall plenty of times where on the highway and on the streets I had to slam my brakes in response to some precarious driver and I don't know if I would have stopped short enough if it wasn't for these tires. They handle really well in harsh weather conditions and in the harsh winter we had I never once got stuck slipping through snow. There is an appreciable difference when it comes to hydro-treading; with the old tires the car would get pulled in strongly toward the side where the puddles were on a highway, and with Michelin Defender the car resists that pull and has a greater tendency to keep going straight. I am very satisfied with my tires and look forward to them lasting me the advertised 90,000 miles. Plus, all my friends think that these tires look really attractive and sporty with my rims.

Defender

You might think that you have to sacrifice noise and ride comfort to get a tire with such a long tread life. Not the case. I drive a rear wheel drive Lexus and the ride is fantastic and the road noise is minimal. Snow and wet traction has been outstanding.

Night and Day Difference

I recently bought these tires, and I must say that the difference is as my title suggests, "night and day." I live in the US Midwest and this winter has been especially bad. I was getting ready to go on a trip, and my grandfather and I looked over my car to make sure everything was in order before I left. He insisted that I buy a new set of tires, and he highly recommended Michelin-brand. At first, I was hestitant, because they were the most expense of tires in its sizes (almost double the brand I had before). However, after a recent snow storm, I've found that these tires were well worth it. I was able to get out of my driveway with relative ease. Accelerating and turning from a dead-stop at a traffic light is smooth and responsive (before I would struggle and my car would swerve). Stopping is much easier...I'm sure that without these tires I would have felt the feedback from my anti-lock brakes many more times than I did. I am loving these new tires. I'm now glad I went for these instead of the cheaper brand.

"Ride smoothly and quietly"

I purchased these tires to drive from DC to SLC, Utah and it was the most pleasant drive because of the lack of road noise and the soft, smooth ride the tires provided. I love the ride provided by the Michelin tires that I purchased and would recommend them to anyone and especially to my best friend.

Great Tires

Excellent set of tires. Seem to hold a steady psi between warm and cold seasons. I noticed a lot better traction in the winter time and stopping. Not sure if I can really tell a difference in the ride of the tires as far as smoothness but are quieter on the highways. I've had these less than a year so cannot really comment on tread wear. Handling is great. I would buy these again.
