I have had such excellent wear and drivability with Michelin tires. I bought a performance car and needed to have something that would compliment the car and the expectations of being safe in the extreme changes in the North East weather. Michelin Defender has met all my expectations! I have always had the Michelin Energy Plus but decided to try the Defender. I am so psyched! Not only do they handle well, they are very quiet-and that great warantee leaves me confident and happy! We have had downpours here out of the blue and puddles that can't be avoided and my car handled very well. Thanks to Michelin. GREAT RELIABLE TIRES!

I have always preferred Michelin tires. I have tried others but always went back to Michelin. This year we bought the Defender tires for my Impala. I thought I loved Michelin before but this tire is just wonderful. We have had a tough winter here in NH but i have always felt safe with my Defenders. They have been unbelievable in the snow, on the highway and on our country roads. I would highly recommend the to everyone.

Sure I tried other tires and there is no comparison. I got half the mileage out of other brands and performance wise I felt much safer driving on Michelin's. The performance of the tire and mileage I get out of a set of Michelin's is worth a little more money.

I am 88 years old and have driven on three continents. At this stage of my life, I feel I can drive on the best tires available. When I first had the Defenders installed, they felt a bit hard. Then I was told: If you were on a rack for a while, you would be stiff also. In a short while, to my delight, the tires seemed to give a much more comfortable ride -- I love my Defenders; so much so I bought a set for my lady friend. She is happy with them too.

I purchased a set of these tires a little over a year ago and found them unsatisfactory. The compound is too hard for my vehicle, resulting in a hard ride, reduced handling, and increased road noise. We all know that in most cases tires are designed for a vehicle. This tire is an unacceptable replacement for the tire that came on the vehicle. I have no doubt that the tire will last a long time. But at what price. I purchased the tires during bad weather, and due to the weather conditions, driving was limited. Because of the weather, the thirty day return policy expired and I was unable to take advantage of it. If you do not mind overlooking the issues that I mentioned, buy the tire. If you care about how your vehicle is designed to ride and handle, look at alternatives. I know that I will look at other options in the future. I do not believe that the tire is worth the cost.

This Michelin Defender tire is absolutely great in wet weather. Michelin seems to have a formula that turns wet roads into plesant driving and the Defender is nothing less than great. This tire has the additional benefit of a very long guaranteed tread life. I have this tire on a 2009 Nissan Altima Hybrid. Standing water and wet roads present no challenge for these tires. I have had them on the car for 10 months, through winter, spring rains and summer thunderstorms. Great responsiveness and road stability. Definitely a comfort for any driver.

I have these on my mini van that I drive endlessly every day. With all the hills curves potholes and things in the road that I cannot avoid. These tires have stood the test of time so far. As long as they get their regular rotate and balance, they are great tires. I wish they were a little more plush for a more quiet and softer ride, but then they would not last as long.

This summer, our family made a 1,800 mile road trip from South Carolina to Texas and back. My wife had been complaining about the tires on our Honda Odyssey having problems in the rain, so I decided to purchase a new set of Michelin Defender tires before we left for our trip. Given the length of our trip, we quickly realized what a different the Michelin Defender tires made including a much smoother and quieter ride, better handling, and peace of mind in the rain. My VUE was at 30,000 and the original OEM tires needed to be replaced. This is the first time that I have purchased replacement tires, and the first time I have ever driven with Michelin tires. I did research reviews online before I decided, and liked the ratings and comments. We live in Florida, and have frequent brief showers. My old originals were prone to skidding and hydroplaning. Drove the vehicle out, and later that first day, we had a brief rain shower; a red light and a quick stop. I was amazed at the difference. The car stopped in a much shorter distance, smoothly (no jerk or grab), and felt secure. I am most impressed, and have no complaints. Thank you for a great product.
