Got Good Grip

We purchased these new tires to prepare for winter. Though the snow has not yet arrived, I can feel a better grip for the road as I drive down the highway. The ride is smooth, and I am confident that these tires will carry my family safely through all of the seasons.

Great Ride, Great Deal, Great Confidence

Worn out original equipment tires sent me to look for a better, longer-lasting tire. My dealer suggested Michelins. What a difference! My car responds incredibly well to handling, does not hydroplane on wet roads...and it has been through several "gully-washers". Although they are a bit noisier than the original tires, the handling differences far outweigh that minor difference...and probably account for it! So...game on with the confidence my Michelins give me!

Best tires I've ever owned

These are the best tires I've ever owned. I currently upgraded to the defenders for my 2003 Honda Accord. I live in MN with lots of different weather changes. We have hot summers, lots of rain and of course snow and ice! These make me feel a lot safer on the roads with lots of reliability and control. Thank you for making these tires!

Only Tire I Will Ever Purchase

The Defender tire is the best tire I have ever purchased. The ride is quiet and smooth. They run great in all weather conditions. I live in the mountains and I drive in snow, ice and heavy rain, and the tires are great in all settings. The price is reasonable and I think its a great value for such a dependable, well-made product. Finally found a tire that lives up to the hype! Thank you Michelin for getting it right!!!

Definitely a Quality product!

I bought the Michelin tires for my wife's car because she was driving every week to her mother's house to take care of her mother. The round trip was over 400 miles a week. The Michelin tires proved to be very dependable, not only providing a comfortable ride, but handled very well in wet and snowy road conditions. I highly recommend Michelin tires for someone who is both concerned with safety as well as a very comfortable ride.

da Best 4 Da Best

The defender gives me security that my ride is safe on the road. This tire does a good job at sustaining equilibrium during vascillating temps. I am not trying to sell you on the tire, that's Michelin's job, I'm just saying that I have a peace of mind and motivation to make sure that my tires are rotated every 8K so I can determine if Michelin is accurate with its treadlife quotes.

Defender versus the Road

My four Defenders have protected my car against adverse driving conditions on rain covered and slippery roads. It gives you the feel of confidence that your car is sure footed and stable in all conditions. With a little common sense and a set of Defenders, the road is mine!

Not Good Gas mileage Tires

Had these tires for about 2 months. These tires are not a great tires to get good gas mileage. My miles per gallon has drop from 3 to 5 mpg. City driving or highway driving doesn't matter. Tried different types of gas, drove in warm and cool weather , doesn't matter. Haven't had any noise problem. Handling wasn't a problem either. If you are looking for a tire that gives you great gas mileage, buy a different tire.

The best Michelin yet

While shopping for my latest set of Michelins I was surprised at the low price and the high treadwear rating of the Defender tires. I was afraid they would be hard and noisy but instead have found them to be quiet and grippy. I liked them well enough to buy a second set for my daughter's 2011 Honda Civic. These have been my favorite Michelins in the thirty years I've been a Michelin customer.

Poor tread life

This tire comes new with 10/31" tread depth. At only 20,000 miles mine are at only 5/32" to 7/32" with normal driving (no spinning the tires, no hard braking and no hard cornering). Based on this wear, I expect somewhere around 40,000 miles on these tires which are advertised as a 90,000 mile tire. Overall traction and noise when new is good, but with so much wear the inclement weather traction is expected to decrease significantly by 35,000 to 40,000 miles.
