[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried other brands of washing machine cleaner so my expectations for this one was about the same. However, after using Glisten, I noticed a difference between this brand and the other brands. The first thing I noticed was the lack of chemical smell. Although Glisten washing machine cleaner says “Fresh Scent”, I smelled no scent. Which to me equates to clean with no harsh chemicals. The second thing I noticed after using it was how my washing machine drum was actually CLEAN looking. With other brands, it's more of a mental note that the drum got clean because I used some kind of cleaner. But with Glisten, I actually could see that it got clean. My only complaint and reason for deducting a star, is that I wish the bottle and/or cap could be made to measure out the 1/2 cup of product needed. I didn't want to use one of my cooking measuring cups so I had to eyeball it. Which means I could either use too much or too little of the product. I guess I could go to a one dollar-type store to pick up a measuring cup and keep it on or next to the bottle, but it would be nice if the product itself had it.

My washer is fairly old, and aside from having to wipe out the inside very sporadically, I have never really thought to actually clean my washer. I just always assumed that since my washing machine is washing every day, it stays fairly clean. Boy did I realize just how wrong I was after just one use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] How surprise I was to use the Glisten-Glisten Washer Magic Cleaner & Deodorizer, and it did what it said it would do. After washing all of the throw rugs for the entryways, there is always the extra sand and gunk left behind. After the initial cleanup of the seals around the machine with the Glisten, I proceeded to pour in approximately 1/2 cup into the washer. I started a normal wash cycle and left I was o do its magic. To come up with a clean as beautiful as the inside drums of the washer would have taken me quite some time and energy to complete. This Glisten was simply magic at its best. I cannot wait to look for this in the stores so I can be ready after I use the remaining Glisten cleaner. Did I mention it smells great too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this product a few weeks ago. It works very well. The mildew smell washers get was gone on completion. You still have to wipe everything down but it was sparkling clean after using this product. I highly recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this twice already and it really works to clean and freshen my front loader. I have the option to keep my washer door open when not in use but there is still a smell left since not all water drains. Use it to wipe around seals and add 1/2 cup to dispenser and run washer (empty of course). My washer does smell better and the drain water was pretty yucky before using this. Cleans and freshens washer!
