It also foamed alittle when the hot water hit it. But I didn't smell anything when done. The drum was brighter then before. I can't tell if it cleaned or not.

Even though our machine is only a year old, there can be residue build up because of the Energy efficient water use, This Product has proven to us that not only help with that but also gets rid of the musty odor. I thought at first that like the picture on the bottle that it was only good for front loaders. So I googled the product and found that Yes it works for top loaders as well!

My washer is a top load and fairly new but we've had problems with the lines going out of the machine and what we used to unclog the drain hoses left a really bad smell that this product took care of! So happy about that! It doesn't have a strong, perfume smell, just a clean scent. And it works!!

I have used glisten products to clean the dishwasher, so I knew I could trust the brand. My machine has a self cleaning cycle, so I thought this would be perfect for getting a thorough cleaning. My husband works in concrete, so his clothes are quite dirty when he gets home. I also have 2 teen boys, so the funk is real. This is super easy to use. For a top loader, which is what I have, pour a 1/2 cup into the washer and run it. Simple and clean. Leaves you with a fresh clean washing machine.

I poured some onto a rag and cleaned the outer area with the it then poured some into the washer and used hot water and when done the washer was sparkling clean. There was musty smell but not anymore after using this product. This is very impressive.

Then I discovered the Washer Magic Cleaner & Deodorizer made by Glisten. I used it the first time, and noticed that my washing machine was clean and seemed to be deodorized as well. The real test was when I put up some washes the next day and the clothes didn't have their musty odor. I put it on my calendar to used it once a month, as directed.

I kept seeing this buildup on my clothes every time I would do a load and couldn't figure out for the life of me what it was. If you used those little sent boosters be aware at some point your clothes will wind up with a little soap buildup on them after you've washed them unless you clean your washing machine every week (they never tell you these things). Well, after using Glisten we don't get the buildup anymore and my machine is working better. I love this stuff and will continue to use it forever! It smells amazing and you can use it inside the washer and use it to clean the fabric softener holder as well. We love this stuff!

What a dirty machine I had and Glisten cleaned it up fast! Love this stuff and won't be without it. Every month a nice clean washer.
