Brightness and duration depend on weather conditions and the season, and they are required to be placed under direct sunlight without any coverage for 8 hours a day. If your lights can't function well even under the right circumstances, it may be attributed to battery issues. Please see your instruction manual for directions on changing batteries. If you are still unhappy, please know they can be exchanged or returned for a full refund as part of the Member's Mark 100% Satisfaction Guarantee.
