Very nice but...

This is a very nice kit but I ordered online and the packaging is damaged somewhat. The eraser is missing. Not a deal breaker but reporting for future quality assurance from Sam's. I would purchase this again. It's very nice even without the eraser.

Not great

The paint itself is a cost effective option for this kind of beginner kit. It's not bad and has a good variety of colors. The brushes are also just fine, better than I expected really. The paper, however, is poor quality. It doesn't hold water well at all, and it took forever for the wash to dry before I could add another layer of color. I got the kit to share with my five year old, and it is fine for her, but I will be using better paper in the future. I don't recommend this kit for anyone wanting to get into watercolor- the poor quality paper will frustrate you immediately.

Decent Paper, Sad Paints and Brushes

The paper is decent if you aren't planning on shade layering. Too many layers of paint and it'll start rolling and peeling. The paint in my kit did not soften or loosen well with water. It came up in chunky little balls. It made painting difficult.
