The new and improved scent does not smell like pine at all. That original fresh smell of pine is why we have used it for years, the distinct pine smell that no other brand could match. I will not purchase any more until the original scent that I love is back.

I had Pine-Sol on my list, and bought some, making sure I bought the brand name Pine-Sol, not an inferior, cheap, imitation product. When I opened it and used it, I thought I must have accidentally bought the wrong brand. I knew instantly that the scent was not right. Instead of the rich, pine scent I had known for years, I smelled a weaker pine scent, along with a scent that reminded me of an old service station restroom. It also did not seem to be cleaning as well. While I was cleaning, I glanced at the bottle and saw that it was indeed really Pine-Sol brand. I started to worry that someone had "messed up Pine-Sol". When I could, I read the label and saw that it said "new longer-lasting scent". Well, it's a longer-lasting scent all right, but I just wanted it to go away. I feel that it's false to refer to it as original, when it is not at all the same. I'm disappointed and will have to start shopping for another brand, as it seems that my favorite cleaner no longer exists.

Its such a great cleaner that i have become addicted to it. I mop my floors 2-3 times a week just so my house will continue to smell like Pine Sol.

Don't fix what aint broken- I bought Pine-Sol only for the cleaning power & wonderful scent! you just lost a customer due to this change- I would only buy this product again if the original scent returns to the way it used to be. I know I am not alone in this- this, in my opinion is as bad an idea as when they had the "New Coke" in the 80's! -BAD IDEA!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I always have Pine Sol on hand, I stock up and keep at least 3 or 4 of Original and Lavender at my disposal, love that Original can disinfect and love the long lasting scent in the product as well as the visible cleanliness to all surfaces I use it on! Great for use full strength or mixed with water in a glass spray bottle! Not only does it clean but it has kept ants and flies away!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoy using Pinesol when I clean my home. It not only cleans dirt and grim off my floors and surfaces. It also has an amazing smell. I feel like the endangered leatherback turtle in the pine flat woods of the everglades. I suggest this product on everyones household cleaning list.

The last Pine Sol I bought listed glycolic acid as the active ingrediant. Where's the percentage of pine oil it used to list? And the smell is different too. I'm fixing to break a 40 year tradition and no longer buy this product. You've listed it as "original" and it isn't, now is it? Did you think nobody would notice? I did. And I'm very upset over it. x

I purchased Pine-Sol today, the packaging was different, but it said "original" so I was satisfied. In opening and using this product, I am seriously disappointed. The smell is completely different from before, the water didn't turn white, and the cleaning power was definitely not the same.

I have been using Pine-Sol Original for 40 years and I cleaned everything with it.. The smell was great. Its how clean should smell. I just bought a new bottle and it had a new label but still said original but smells horrible!!!! I was actually thankful that the smell didn't last long. I am returning the bottle and I will have to hunt all the local stores for the old label and hope I can find some of the true "original scent". I am so dissatisfied that unless the real "original scent" is brought back, I will never purchase another bottle again ever.

Dear Pine-Sol, your "New Longer-Lasting Scent" smells NASTY. It smells chemical and horrible and I can't even eat in the kitchen once I use it. The rest of the bottle is going out in the garbage, it's NASTY AND HORRIBLE. Bring back the original Pine-Sol pine scent, that was fine. This new stuff is nasty, nasty, NASTY.
