Also on the new bottle - compared to my older original - it does not say it kills athletes foot (old original does). So what else does the new not work on/kill? Why mess with the original? I think you were trying for Christmas Tree scent to attract all the Glade/Febreeze people instead of honoring thousands of current customers. Don't listen to some new marketing person who went over some numbers and wanted to add customers. REAL SUCCESSFUL companies know to honor and care for current customers and work for them. WE WILL THEN do your marketing FOR YOU by word of mouth. Have a great product and we will do the rest and 'sell it' to others. So new original scent? Fail! If we wanted full on pine we would go Glade or Air Wick etc for air spray or plug ins etc. I like the new but I WANT the old scent!!! You can fix this. Pine Sol Baby!

The label on the Pine-Sol bottle says "original," but the content is far from it. The "new" Pine-Sol smells like toxic perfume chemicals that made me nauseous and gave me a horrible headache that lasted for hours. Please bring back the old Pine-Sol that actually smelled like pine. Until then, I will not purchase this product.

The original was a great product. I sent my daughter to the store and she come home with this and my nose have not stopped running. I have medical conditions and don't tolerate different perfumes ode's. The word original implies it is what you use to sell. Well that is not the case. You shouldn't call it original when you clearly made a change. Back to the store it goes and a customer for your products gone too. It doesn't deserve the one star rating.

The Clorox company changed the formulation of Pine Sol in April 2012 to comply with California EPA requirements on VOC's(Volatile Organic Compounds). The California Air Resources Board enforces these requirements on disinfectants & non disinfectants. All users of this product use it based on the formulation prior to April 2012 not on the formulation The Clorox Company claims as original new & improved/new scent etc. I encourage users to express their opinions to have the old and best formulation back for this product to consumers services of The Clorox Company, California EPA and the California Air Resources Board. The Clorox Company must know this will adversely affect their revenue. Consumers of this product should encourage The Clorox Company to fight this. The Clorox Company can & should file for an exemption from this regulation. Yuup folks, this is where we are. We have used pine sol for decades, but no more. We want pine sol as it used to be not some loud fragrance with reduced pine oil. This product has been changed. Not good people!!!!!! Harville

I remember getting up on Saturday mornings to do our weekly chores and the smell of Pine-Sol everywhere. Those memories are seriously being jeopardized by this new scent. It now smells like any other generic cleaner you can get anywhere. Does anyone remember the Classic Coke experiment? Some things aren't meant to be tampered with. Give me back my Saturday mornings, give me back my memories of my siblings, my mom and I doing our chores.

I was shocked and deeply saddened when I opened my new bottle of original Pine Sol & discovered... a retched smell emanating from within. Your own web site explains why I buy Pine Sol over the dozens of choices out there to clean my floor BECAUSE OF THE MEMORIES IT BRINGS TO ME. The memories I hold dear of my Grandmother's kitchen are immediately brought forth when I open a bottle of Pine Sol & now that has been ruined. A small thing...maybe but I am not alone. You will do well to admit to this error & return to the smell we all know & love!!!

I grew up with the original pine sol scent and only purchased it as an adult for that reason, I would love to see the original scent be available as well, I understand that manufacturing this product has to change with the times, but we older generation should have a choice too in what we would like to remember growing up with too. Right now, I do not purchase this product for that reason, no choice of the original scent.

When buying original Pine-Sol quite some time ago (I buy in bulk) I remember noticing a difference in the scent. I was taken aback at first, but I've actually come to like it. Even though I don't loooove it like I did the true "original", I don't despise it. I still like to use it now and then; I guess because it reminds me so much of home.

I remember my mother and grandmother cleaning with the "Original" scented Pin-sol and I used it up until a couple years ago when it seemed to have disappeared without any forewarning. I am saddened and upset that such a great cleaning product used for decades by millions of people and companies has been taken away. I know with new technology and the new generations of people that have entered into this dirty world, cannot tell the difference of a cleaning product and its purpose, which is probably why the bottle is now labeled "multi-surface" but this product stinks!!! Literally, it smells like urine mixed with that nasty smell of Fabulosa cleaning liquid. And believe me, I know what urine smells like. I clean double, sometimes triple thinking I didn't do a good enough job cleaning up the grime and smell, just to use on the "multi-surfaces in other rooms to find the odor has followed the bottle. Something is very wrong with this new formula and I will no longer purchase this product, instead I will use Comet powder for both my cleaning and "clean smelling" needs. Please do the public a favor and make an announcement if or when you plan on bringing back the true "Original" scent!!!

I recently bought a bottle of Pine-Sol that said new and improved scent on the label. Maybe it's new but it's hardly improved. Frankly, it stinks. I realize I could simply be nostalgic for the familiar scent I've known all of my life, but I don't think so. I know for sure that if I had never smelled the original and got a whiff of this in a store, I would not purchase it. It's a sharp, ultra-piney scent that's more industrial than comfortable. The only other scents I remember seeing in stores is Lemon, and I'm not clear on whether it's disinfectant the way the original is, so I may well stop using Pine-Sol altogether. I certainly won't buy "improved" original again.
