It's one main feature is it has wi-fi capabilities but not all tv are compatible. I have a Samsung UN32J flat screen and it will not recognize this unit as a wi-fi unit. Otherwise, a good player.

It does not have basic features (e.g. counter for elapsed time) and displays "feature unavailable" regardless of the button I press.

Very small remote /function buttons so I am using a previous LG dvd remote I still had. No display but just touch "display" on the remote to see remaining time and details. LOVE LG!

It was easy to set up. It looks nice and works great. It is better than my Samsung at half the price.

My reason for switching was that I was given an LG 50" Tv set and to keep everything compatible. I bought the same brand too complement the TV set.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first blu-ray player. It makes DVD look better but will not remember the stop points of multiple DVDs, only BDs. The remote is a little smaller than I like but it works fine. LGs customer service is very responsive in addressing any issues or questions.

I attempted to watch a movie on this but after an hour and unending frustration, I gave up. The remote needed to be within 5 or so feet from the player and pointed directly at it to get any response from it even with a new battery. The closed captions were another joke. Even though the remote had a button to turn them off or on, it didn't work. The only way I could get the closed captions to turn off or on was to stop the blue ray and go into the disk settings. I thought that LG was a reputable company and had good products. This was my first and last experience I will EVER have with LG.

It was advertised to have the Hulu app it does not. I bought this one for that feature
